Sonygroup?? You should adjust your post CMOS is a newer technology because its digital whereas CCD is analog. CCD more expensive because of it manufacturing & production process hence CMOS is the cheaper solution.
CMOS-Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor older type of cctv system but very cheap and popularly used.
CCD-Charge-Coupled Device slowing becoming modern pricing is medium to high while quality can be from 720p upwards

Lil off topic but I went to the trade show tic. There was a booth dealing with cctv. I asked the guy how much tvl were his cams. He looked at me puzzled. He called his boss. Asked boss the same thing. Boss said the tvl were 3.6mm. Well I nearly lol. So lany quacks out there
