Not much is different except the number of classes, there seem to be monthly fees to operate a taxi and your license plate has to be validated and get a sticker every so many years.

Would be better if they had a document saying "What's new" so people don't have to read through that whole thing.

“antique vehicle” means a private motor vehicle or commercial vehicle,
which is at least thirty years old;

speed detection devices mentioned- i guess that would refer to speed guns

also, it looks as though the tint laws would no longer be subject to an officer's discretion but a specified limit as in Sec. 89 (2) d:

(2) Except as otherwise provided in this section, the following vehicles
shall not be used on any road or highway:
(a)
a motor vehicle exceeding the maximum gross weight of
fifteen tonnes;
(b)
a trailer exceeding the maximum gross weight of eight
tonnes;
(c)
a vehicle or trailer not fitted with pneumatic tyres; or
(d)
a vehicle windscreen or any other window of which is fitted
with glass so tinted as to exceed the limit prescribed by
regulations

im guessing they would need a certified device to measure tint levels :|

u know what i feel it should include is graduating driving permits - so that e.g. someone who has a permit for less than 1 or 2 yrs would have certain restrictions like no driving at night on the highway or lower BAC level of alcohol in their system

the alcohol part i agree with, the other part i don't.....it just postpones the period at which they will be new to driving at night or highway etc.....

i would think that 20% visual light transmission should be good for the tint....after all we live in a tropical country....i hope they don't follow the law of some american states where its as light as 70%

as for antiques.....*rubs hands* Hakosuka GTR* :lol:

When my right foot was punctured, I just parked up my car and only used the automatic vehicles until I had full use of it (about a month). Now I'll have to spend time to inform them of such.

So if you were out the country for an extended period of time and over a year passed, thats $350 plus the $500 renewing fee?

Right now, its just the $500 right?

WTF?? So would be illegal to buy a car, and sell it as a sideline?
