great... well done utd... we coulda take one ah dat 4 on sunday...but anyhow...

No amt of talk now will change anything that will happen on the 28th... so we organising a lime for the final.. some co-workers and I will be in The Rise, Lange Park, Chaguanas... utd bretheren feel free to fall in...........

however it is noteworthy that at the Theatre of Dreams there was no acting and drama as Pioneer so precisely observed...:-)

So onto Chel-pee .... I really hope we don't follow similar good outings in Europe with a poor performance back in the league as has been the case recently... there is no logical reason why Utd cannot beat chel-pee at home ...none whatsoever. END!

If Rooney was there it might have been 6 - 1.

But wait I thought barca fans don't troll..look some done come in here bumping gum lol..

Either way great performance by mosly a second string team..scholes showed why he is still the best at controlling a game even with 2-3 men always on..valencia did well and the inexperienced centre backs stepped up..future at the back seems promising..
Best of all was that there was no unsportsmanlike behaviour from any side, even when cards were flying..welcomed change from barca vs real..

3rd final in 4 yrs..beat barca 3 yrs ago and was beaten in return 2 yrs ago..
Undoubtedly the 2 best clubs in the world..
Look forward to a great game..hopefuly without the antics or bad ref calls..
Also glad that there's no ronaldo to try to prove he's the best and single-handedly break down everyone of our attacks like last time..two teams who both play a nice team game ftw!

agreed.. while ronaldo was good..he tried to do everything and cost us the game.. his ego got the better of him and played for himself and not for the team.. now the entire team has more freedom in attack

promises to be a good game.. just hope barca could keep their nasty tactics to a minimum.. as they always try to get an opposition player sent off or dive in the box for a penalty whenever the face a challenge..

Anderson was class and showed he could finish if he gets forward some more. Best game I ever saw Gibson play, and I hope it continues.

I'm more optimistic about this final than the one 2 years ago since we playing like more of a team now. The wingers track back and tackle which Ronaldo never did and we have a potent attacking partnership up front, whereas in 2009, we played Ronaldo as a lone striker with Rooney on the wings.

I think Rooney beginning to shine in his true role as a support striker with Hernandez drawing defenders with smart running. Hopefully, Fletcher could get some fitness back cuz we need someone who could win the ball back from the Catalans and start some counter attacks. It's games like this I miss Hargreaves the most... :(

^Hargro is a funny one...
He was bought with one thing in mind...Europe!
Strangely enough, we won the UCL in the first and only complete season he played...I saw every Utd game and for all Ronaldo's goals, Rooney's assists and tracking back, and Vida/Rio's tackles, Hargro was the biggest influence in the euro games...its a shame his career has been so blighted with injuries...

In much the same way, alot of Utd's game was based more around Fletcher in 08/09 than anyone else, so not having him for the final meant alot of reshuffling...the formation Fergie used with Ronaldo getting the ball and being wasteful up front backfired and we simply couldnt cope..no excuses..

my xi for the 28 th

Van der Sar; Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Fletcher, Anderson, Park; Rooney; Hernandez.

i dont think Giggs or Scholes have the legs to keep up with the opening 60 minutes of the barca midfield but will bring them on for the last 20-30 minutes

I think one of the main headaches Fergie has is whether to start Park on the left or select Nani, who could better exploit the space left by Alves running up the pitch. I would personally go for Nani just because it makes them think twice, and he could create something out of nothing. He also works better with Evra down that wing.

Rooney will probably drop into midfield to match their presence and try to press Busquets when he has the ball. I hope Evra regains some form too, because we need the back four to play their best football to stop that attack.

o'shea might be on the right of defence instead of rafael.. due to experience but you never know...

from the looks of it .. SAF has basically a fully fit squad so there are going to be a pain selecting that squad

nah jed.... daz real shiznit.... that is just plain disgusting.... I saw the "foul" on Mascherano that dis-allowed the Higuain goal .. dat ref is either a cnut or a Barca supporter.. plain talk..

although I was never a Barca supporter, I respected them ..for their flair and style ...but fcuk dat...they have no honour...none..

When Utd lost in 2009 SAF said the better team won...dat is how men play/manage...we lost, we accepted... its better to lose fairly than cheat, act, fake, bully and manipulate the ref to win...nuff said

Basically the same shirt from this season. The club normally keeps the same shirt for 2 seasons. Expect a new design the season after next.

After the way Carrick played against Chelsea in the Champions League games, he deserves a spot on the starting lineup.
