TRAFFIC ALERT BY GRAND BAZAAR INTERSECTION !!!

Postby Toyota Trinidad Ltd » August 15th, 2013, 12:00 pm

There is a build up of traffic yet again stemming from the Grand Bazaar intersection, think there is single lane traffic.

typical third would country again!
Really, why do we subject ourselves to this sh1t, if the road works people normal workers are not willing ot work after hours, then simply get workers who are willing to do so.
WHy do we always sit back and accept this level of stupidity.

Theres absolutely NO reason why road works in trinidad cannot be done at night so as to minimize inconvenience of the travelling public

^^ sorry..but you really havent been up on that side of the world at night have you? ...Those guys have been working nearly 24/0 ....so what if i lil inconvenience to get some proper paving done?

to me they've been doing near First world type Project Management on that Intersection. They've (MOWT and WASA) have been doing similar on the laying of the Pipeline along the PBR from Arima to Town....all work done at night between 9 and 3am....while the finished job leaves alot to be desired (the paving is not neat at all) the project deployment has been fast.

Govt may be doing real toots...but in certain small areas...they shine (from a Project standpoint eh...not the corruption side)

@RBF^^ I sit through hours of roadwork traffic every week or in some cases have drop my average speed by 40%,but Id rather they work during the day when there is likely to be be better productivity and the project takes less time.

BTW why dont you just change your working hours to work nights so then you wont be inconvenienced by them improving your roadways?

Moving cocaine and heroin at night is to be expected. He prefers during the day where less likely to raise suspicion and meet roadblocks etc.

Disagreed !

The PM isn't bad... but I wouldn't call it 'near first world'. The overpass was impressive ONLY because it was manufactured outside and shipped in pieces... so it went up very quickly... but this botch job of the planning is not very impressive.... the paving and roadworks portion of the job has been quite hap-hazard.... move a little further east and peep the 'Bamboo U turn'.... While I hope that isn't the final layout... closing off the bamboo from half of it's traffic so you can form huge lines to make U turns.... doesn't sound very well planned to me !
