hey guys pjfred is correct. the hilux 1kd engine does have a fault or manufacturing defect. I just recently rebuilt my cousin's engine in december. the problem was an oiler got clogged and therefore no oil was sent to No 2 piston and had to change the pistons. I also built an engine earlier on in 2013 where the connecting rod bearing had spun and had to fit oversize bearing. both vehicles are working excellent now

Varun Mur feel free to give me a call and i can assist you in correctly diagnosing your problem.
