Ash fall has reached Grenada. https://twitter.com/ttweathercenter/sta ... 94054?s=24

LaSoufriere’s volcanic ash continues to fall at Lauriston, Carriacou. This is one of Grenada’s dependencies, an island north of Grenada and south of the Grenadines.

Might sound like a good thing with all the ash, but will actually lead to mudslides, slush and further problems for them.

The Prime Minister of St. Vincent has announced that only those residents of the Caribbean island who have received their Covid-19 vaccinations will be evacuated following the two explosions from the La Soufriere volcano.

is this the kind of world u guys who keep on pushing the vaccine want? that if u don't comply u die? What next? If your house is on fire the firefighters won't go in unless you're vaccinated? If you're in a car crash you'll be left to die unless you're inoculated? Discrimination at its finest.

I support the vaccines obviously, I do not support that, their prime minister shouldn't make that call , it should be up to the accepting countries.

how can u justify sending people who might be carrying covid to other places and infect that population?

unless they can set up a refugee camp where access in and out is limited, its the respectful ting to do for the welcoming country.
cyar save the peopel from volcano and den dead from covid.

^ those who want everyone to get the vaccine was okay with government plans to strip citizens of their national birth rights. but you guys draw the line at this? Can't have it both ways when u guys were okay with labelling the unvaccinated as the new lepers.

So now people's ACTUAL lives don't matter because of the POSSIBILITY of contracting a virus with a 99% survival rate? got you

The eruption of the La Soufriere Volcano will have a huge impact on our ecosystem too. This Scaly-naped pigeon fell out of the sky, dead on Union Island. Second one for the Morning.

correct. until u have had to deal with or manage mass casualty emergencies, u would not understand how important it is to prevent it in the first place. so far, the volcano hasnt threatened life, only making it a health hazard, so u have time to play with, its not even the whole island.

set up isolation zones like what we did at our ports of entry, for foreigners to stay until processed.
u can take them, dont let them mix with general population. this thing may last a week again, so no need to even quarantine them cause they might be able to return soon... might.

^ ideally u are meant to evacuate before the crisis hits. not after. this move by the Vincentian government is as dystopian as it gets but thats what happens when people open the door for governments to use dystopian policies.

apocalyptic scenario since its a volcano erupting on a small island with a very contagious disease in the whole world. i dont want to be the emergency personnel having to treat with the potential aftermath.

no. The dystopian thing is when every small island has its own national borders and national flag. In smarter parts of the world, all our islands would be integrated into one country and people could simply move away from the disaster area without government regulations becoming involved at all.
