For the best experience put it in the sun in a glass bottle for a day or two preferbly on top a galvanize roof or shed etc...and garlic is a must..

Good old childhood days...

anything does taste good in a chow eh

grapes, apple, pawpaw, i even try thick coconut jelly

but my favorite is pommerac, i find its the easiest to make

i have 3 large trees in my front yard, normally when i picking its 20-30 grocery bags full to give away
trees eh bear for the past 2 years tho, a family member to trim them very aggressively and they get screwed

Pommerac is indeed the best chow to make all other fail in comparison.

After you sweat the gamut of local fruit, try hitting up some unusual fruit and combos

Watermelon is nice, drop some blueberries in there. Add a tiny amount of fine leaf thyme to this combo in addition to the usual chow trifecta (pepper, chadon beni, garlic)

Seedless grapes are fantastic on their own. Mix the varieties together. Can also add american plums to this.
Apples and pears are ok, kind norms.

Other local ingredients that make a good chow
Bourbon cane
Coconut jelly
Cocoa (seeds with pulp)
Mameycepot
dunks
jamun (little purple berry)

With most chows a bit of fresh lime takes it over the top.

I've yet to try rambutan or dragonfruit

I won't suggest fat pork or Kowa for chow, but feel free to try it

OK- whats the scientific name for trini plums (honest question).

I had dragon fruit fruit chow and I don't find the fruit itself tart enough to carry the other ingredients- five finger makes a good chow as does grapefruit

There's a chart compiled a few years ago by a local guy. He has plum as Spondias Purpurea Var Lutea
