And QUIETLY NP raises their prices before diesel and petrol goes up.

The Trinidad and Tobago National Petroleum Company has instituted a nine per cent increase in the prices of NP ultra oils and lubricants.

This came into effect last week Thursday.

NP’s General Manager of Lubricants (Ag.) Valene Roberston indicated to distributors via a press release on February 4 that there were impacts to NP’s business caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

There had also been increases in the cost of raw materials, base oils, and additives, as well as negative issues concerning packaging materials, Roberston said.

She went on further to state that these factors have impacted NP’s unit cost of production and product availability.

NP has been absorbing the price increases during 2020 but cannot continue to do so in 2021, she added.

castrol prices went DOWN last year for Magnatec and probably other but NP hadda find the need to frustrate people more.

With that price increase where would NP products be on the price spectrum?
I haven't bought oil in years because lazy (my mechanic provides but he buys in bulk so his price isn't bad)

Even with the increase, their conventional oil products would either be on par or just below most of their competitors' price points. Their synthetic/synthetic blend oil might be at the same price as competitors

Most car places in san fernando open along cipero street and union road.

$210 for 5 gallons is really cheap.

Have to say I'm a bit of a convert. It is used in the work vehicle and it runs cooler than whatever was in the vehicle before... Purchased two 5 litre bottles to use in my own vehicle.
