Yes there is an anti gang bill, but not an Anti Gang Act.

Because UNC believes it will infringe on the rights of civil societies like All Bosses and other gangs throughout the country. Thank God for the rising sun.

So are there no existing laws against extortion, racketeering, drug trafficking, murder?

The gangs can do what they want because none of these laws exist.

There is no association of extortioners, racketeers and drug traffickers, because activate participation in such an organisation will help seal their guilty conviction in court.

However, since gang membership has now been decriminalised, they are no different than possessors of small amounts of weed. Once weed smokers don't get caught storing in bulk, buying and selling or growing too many trees, they are safe. Likewise, once gang members don't get caught doing criminal activity, they can be members of gang, even a gang that can release press statements.

So basically police have to do their work now and build a case against a criminal?

So gang members involved in illegal activities cannot be prosecuted under existing laws?
