Postby 88sins » November 14th, 2020, 9:49 pm

Looking for a recommendation on an engine & manual transmission for a lotus esprit project car. And I not looking for an oem engine and box.

EJ20 turbo if it can fit.

Seen engine and box complete for about $13,500.00. That's less than an sr20.

I should have been more specific
All intelligent ideas are welcome.

But no Maxipad, even though the car is extremely light weight, I not interested in those econobox motors and transmissions.

NA?

FI?

Street?

Full Race?

What kinda power we talking about?

2JZ is a econobox?

Don’t go around saying that eh Reek, you WILL get a cutass from the J men.

But your 007 car is not that lightweight as you exaggerate it to be. A boosted K20/K24 will do great as they are doing pretty well in lighter cars.

Plenty options man.

Audi 4.2 V8 out of a A8...even the twin turbo 2.7 out of the Audi B5 S4 are good options for that transaxle setup.

Staying with the V- concept. The Honda Legend has a very understated but power N/A V^ you can put some boost to and "wap d chassi"... think it was the C32A V6 or something so.

Ah, Monk BANzai. You give me a idea dey with the Audi V8.
Found one for sale complete with a manual transmission for sale, just to call and see if it still available and if it is go check it out. By the grace of God, once all things go well and it checks out I should have it in d shop by Tuesday

Once it in hand is all kinda mad science takin place

Thanks for the ideas gents.
