Americans don’t vote for President, they for for electors who then vote for the President.

Georgia's Republican secretary of state says Lindsey Graham and other Republicans have pressured him to toss mail in ballots in key counties

Georgia's Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is facing death threats, public attacks from fellow Republicans, and even pressure to throw out all the mail ballots cast in entire counties, he told the Washington Post in an interview published on Monday.

Raffensperger, who was elected in 2018 to succeed now-Governor Brian Kemp, was criticized in June by some Democrats over long lines to vote and other issues in the state's primary.

But now, with Republicans losing Georgia in the presidential race for the first time since 1992 and having to fight to defend both the state's US Senate seats in runoffs, the state's chief election official says he's undergoing a barrage of attacks on his credibility and the integrity of Georgia's election from prominent elected officials from within his own party.

Well, he asked if the ballots could be matched back to the voters, and then I got the sense that he implied that then you could throw those out for any … Really, we look at the counties with the highest frequent error of signatures. So, that’s the impression that I got, but we’ve got signature matching in place. We have signature match when you request the ballot, absentee ballot, and then we have signature match when it comes in. Then with our new online, absentee ballot portal, that has photo ID."

Probably gonna go up to the 20th. Saw there was a county that had a flash drive that 2,600 votes weren't put in and verified with the manual count. Netted a gain of 800 votes for Trump. (1700 Trump, 900 Biden)

DETROIT — In an abrupt about-face, Michigan’s largest county on Tuesday night unanimously certified election results showing Democrat Joe Biden defeating President Donald Trump, hours after Republicans first blocked formal approval of voters’ intentions.

The initial move was quickly condemned by Democrats, election experts and spectators at the Wayne County Board of Canvassers online meeting as a dangerous attempt to block the results of a free and fair election.

“We depend on democratic norms, including that the losers graciously accept defeat. That seems to be breaking down,” said Joshua Douglas, a law professor at the University of Kentucky.

The state vote certification process is usually a routine task, and the ultimate resolution in Wayne County propels Biden toward formal victory in Michigan. Still, Tuesday’s chaotic developments are likely to sow more doubt among Trump’s supporters in the election results and could galvanize Republicans in other states to try to look for ways to slow down the final steps in making his loss official.

Imagine the two Republican canvassers attempting to deny Detroit their democratic voice (largely African American voters) and getting called out until you see the light? Never seen this much obstruction, shenanigans and crying before. They're just drawing out their pain at this point.

It may have started out that way, but seems to have been infiltrated by right wing agitators, looters (of all colours) and anarchists. Human nature being what it is, there is the natural tendency to forget the original purpose, and only remember/focus on the bad aspects.

I don't think protests that were 93% peaceful and where only 1.5% have resulted in "significant damage to memorials" makes BLM synonymous with violence and destruction.

The Property Claim Services (PCS) a unit of a Verisk Analytics, designated the riots in Minneapolis a catastrophe, the first time that PCS has compiled insured losses for a civil disorder event since the Baltimore, Maryland, riots of April 2015. Those riots did not meet PCS’s threshold for a catastrophe (insured losses reaching $25 million) when they occurred. For the first time, PCS has designated the civil unrest in Minnesota and those events that followed across the United States from May 26 to June 8 as a multi-state catastrophe event. This makes the 2020 event the first time since 1992 that PCS has compiled significant insured losses for a civil disorder and declared it a catastrophe. PCS has included more than 20 states with significant losses for this catastrophe. A preliminary estimate of insured losses from PCS as of September 30, 2020, which is still subject to further evaluation, would be more than $1 billion, marking it as the costliest civil disorder in U.S. history.
