Certificate of Character woes..

Postby uncle sam » August 13th, 2020, 12:36 am

I am stuck outside Trinidad at the moment and I need to get a Certificate of Character for my new employer.

I sent my fingerprints to Trinidad and it was taken to the police station. I understand that the police admin was closed for COVID however, I was still able to get it in to be processed. Now I am hearing that the system that runs the prints is down.

If I do not get the CoC like this week, I will be unemployed. I cannot even get back home at this point with the borders closed. What are some suggestions?

I have gotten CoCs twice before, shouldn't they be stored on a database or something? Not sure how it works, but I need something to happen and fast.

Can anyone help a brother out?

TIA

Please contact Gray Griffith to have this sorted out because everywhere is only dealing with emergencies right now.

Even my grandmother can't sign for her pension renewal because of Covid the situation is very serious right now and is only getting worse day by day.

Four roads police station. initially, my relative was turned away because of COVID in the police admin building. Then she was called back to give by the officer to "try for us". Only to find out that the system is down. The officer was very helpful.

I was thinking about this. Anything at this point. I'm in limbo. My employment visa is expired and I need the CoC to stay here

Prepare a LoE and attach a sworn affidavit as well as your last CoC?

Only CoC and stamped by foreign affairs accepted. It's for Kuwait. They are very strict. Not budging at all. Pandemic or otherwise.

The Automated Fingerprint Identification System is still down at the T&T Police Service (TTPS) causing hundreds of delays to people needing a Certificate of Character.
