Looks decent on first view, any tuners have first hand experiences to share?

Normally it's due to errors when they scanned old certified copies into the new system. Letters like S and 5 and 2 and Z got mixed up so to get your chassis # corrected you need to go in and do a chassis # change.

Question. Bought a used vehicle that has a mistake on the description of the vehicle. They put in manual in the description when vehicle is automatic. How do I go about changing/removing this? Also will it cause trouble for inspection?

If the issue is an error on the certified copy, LO will issue an amendment to the CC to note the correction. You must have the vehicle onsite. The issue will be reviewed at the inspection station and the request will be submitted. You will likely need a few weeks before the new CC can be picked up.

I am not certain of the time required for the change or the cost.

I wonder if this would have ever been done, if it wasn't for Covid?

Ok. This amendment is what I was trying to get away from, as I have seen many persons complain that their vehicle had amendments to be done and LO was giving them a run around as months had passed.

Always good to know people in high places. But is if they willing to know me....

On Monday gone, I made an appointment for today at Caroni. At 8am, 2 licensing officers walked to the main gate with printed sheets.

For those with appointments like myself, we had to walk to the gate and check the officers to ensure that your name is on the list for the appointed time. Once there, you will be allowed to drive or walk into the compound.

There is another verification check at the sliding doors upon entry to the building itself. Once you have been verified, you were allowed past the reception counter into the general services area with seats.

I did not notice any social distancing policies in place in terms of lines and seating etc but they do have signs indicating that once you have no mask, you cannot enter even at the front gate.

So park your vehicle at your own risk at the side of the road, in front the building and take a walk or take a chance and drive up to the gate to verify your appointment. This part is confusion, so good luck as typical trinis dont like to wait so many were cluttering the front gate with their vehicles and it caused a traffic jam. At one point, vehicles could not pass. A very young eager LO did his best to clear things up.

The line past the roundabout into the shoulder of the road and people left their vehicles at their own risk to verify their names at the front gate. This was an opportunity for trouble since this is a no parking zone so police and LOs could have applied some typical wickedness and issued tickets and you know that is instant demerit points!

I was out of there by 9:30 and despite the crowd and chaos outside, inside was quite clear and less hectic. Good luck.

Had my appointment at 9.15am this morning in Caroni. The system working reasonably well. Once people show up close to your appointed time the system will continue to work well. It's when people with late appointments come early the outside becomes jammed up because they not allowing you into the compound until your appointed time.

My recommendation would be take the earliest appointments

oh ho i see the problem now. Inspection Station people wanted the bribe. Go to a different inspection point next time. Find good people you can trust and stick with that station. Did you report what happened to the License Officer? If only they did an undercover investigation on some of these places eh.

To be fair the station never asked for a bribe. They just merely listed a defect as incorrect chassis number. Not to cloud up this thread I'll post the update on the Inspection station thread.
