Awaits PNM to condem Guyanas black goverment
Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:Guyana is stuck in political deadlock after both main parties declared victory in the country's election.
President David Granger urged his supporters to be "patient" while waiting for election officials to reveal the results of the 2 March vote.
Mr Granger was defending a narrow parliamentary majority against Irfaan Ali of the opposition PPP party.
Former president Bharrat Jagdeo, also of the PPP, has accused the election authority of committing fraud.
Full election results are not expected until Friday.

"The tabulation process that had been taking place in Region 4 was circumvented, critically undermining transparency and preventing international observers and political parties from observing tabulation. As a result, the election results released today for Region 4 are not credible."

Yeah but the PNM supports Guyana black goverment and the former Opressor.Dizzy28 wrote:Trinidad's electioneering is still based on ethnic lines however we are nothing like Guyana.
It could be we are more laid back, maybe slightly less corrupt but our politicians on both sides have never devolved into anything like the Guyanese. Give me Williams and all his flaws over Burnham any day.

STATEMENT BY THE CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY ON THE TABULATION PROCESS OF THE GUYANA ELECTIONS
The Caribbean Community is concerned about the allegations being made about the Guyana elections, with respect to the tabulation of results based on the Statements of Polls (SOPs) in Region 4.
The Community calls on the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) to ensure that all legal and procedural processes are faithfully complied with in respect of the vote count and the declaration of results to ensure that the outcome of the polls expresses the will of the people of Guyana. We call on all parties and Guyanese to remain calm while these issues are resolved.
It's only under international pressure that they now speaking up. Caricom is pro black and prefer black govermentsThe_Honourable wrote:Caricom was quiet for a while but they finally join with the others
