Bike license

Postby CocaineMachine » February 26th, 2020, 9:48 am

So I've decided to get my bike license. Already have my learners permit. Went in town cause I didnt know caroni was doing it, found out after.

What I want to know about is the hand signals. I was told u had to do them but I know someone who only did one signal and that was the right turn to pull out ot start the test.

Anyone here ever did the signals or know what signals are needed?

left turn, right turn, stopping hand signal.
In town the test is really just in the back of license office in the basket ball court type fenced area. Really easy.
Hope you have good driving experience, because riding on Trinidad roads with this breed of drivers is suicide.

^^
The test is VERY easy ..

What model or type bike you have on track ?

Check out " Greens Yamaha " near Mode Alive in Curepe .

Prices kinda high but he is knowledgeable .

Close to where the drive in cinema Kay Donna used to be located .

If you already know how to ride, just do one session with a school for them to run through the test and familiarize yourself with that bike. I did that the evening before my test day.

as we talking bike
I was considering motorizing a bicycle with a small 4 stroke engine awhile ago, planned to start that project this year.

I wondering if after installing that small engine if I go hadda register it with LO & get insurance & plates for it.

You will need to check to be certain but I believe 50cc displacement is the limit.

I would suggest adding an electric motor. You will likely get better performance.

Just a little surprise project as a gift for a nephew. Since he see one built on YouTube some years ago he want one but he mother say he wasn't old enough. She say when he turns 12 he can have it and he turning 12 this year.

Gonna talk to her about it today & confirm it's ok & start from there.

cool but there's pros & cons to going 4 stroke vs 2 vs 1
4 stroke is quieter, vibrates less, & more torque=faster. downside, burns more fuel.

but is not like it using a 50 gallon drum for a fuel tank or burning fuel at 1L/inch, so fuel economy ain't no real issue with it unless he planning to ride from D'go to Toco

Single cylinder engines:

4-stroke
.. Better low-end torque
.. No fuelmix
.. More economical
.. More environmentally friendly

2-stroke
.. Lighter weight
.. Higher RPM
.. Improved high-end torque
.. Less expensive
.. More power for the same size engine displacement
