Frugal determination.
$50 prepaid topup every 3 months.
Reliance on wifi and alternate communication methods which rely on wifi.

Plans are inflated.
If you looking to save coin, go prepaid, disable mobile data and use wifi for all your data needs.

Both Digicel and bmobile offer prepaid plans with relatively unlimited data and on-network talk/text for about TT$350 per month. Just about the same cost as a contract with AT&T or t-mobile in the US. Costs and features go down from there.

I suggest trying a prepaid plan and deciding on a network that will serve your needs best. You can then decide if you want a contract and go post-paid.

Bmobile $219 a month. Unlimited data. Unlimited local calls. Can't go wrong with that amount although it's a "special promotion".

Digicel prepaid data plans tend to increase over time. I drop the data plan when the plan went past the amount i pay for broadband unlimited at home. They will most likely rolled back the price to a lower price but again its for a short period, then the prices will go up again.

Stick to pre-paid mobile phone only plan on either bmobile or digicel network, top up $30 minimum. If you top up less than $30 the expiry period is very short, like a few weeks. N.B. Do not turn on mobile data on your phone if you don`t have data plan. Digicel sims are activated with it on by default and will take money about $1 every day.

There are plenty free wifi access points all other the place. If you need to go somewhere where you not guaranteed to have data for a long period (e.g a wedding somewhere in the bush) buy a single day data plan for $20.

There's no link. It's something that comes and goes. *123#. Then click on Special Promotions. There will be the option.

Is the 250 local minutes for just bmobile to bmobile calls? Or does it apply to calls to other local networks like Flow and Digicel?

It applies to all networks. The data and minutes do not roll over.
