Masks with Exhalation Valves or Vents
The purpose of masks is to keep respiratory droplets from reaching others to aid with source control. However, masks with one-way valves or vents allow air to be exhaled through a hole in the material, which can result in expelled respiratory droplets that can reach others. This type of mask does not prevent the person wearing the mask from transmitting COVID-19 to others. Therefore, CDC does NOT recommend using masks for source control if they have an exhalation valve or vent.

3M statement on valved masks.
While a valve does not change a respirator’s ability to help reduce a wearer’s exposure to bioaerosols, it is not recommended that a person who is exhibiting symptoms of illness wear a valved respirator, because there is a possibility that exhaled particles may leave the respirator via the valve opening and enter the surrounding environment, potentially spreading the disease.

They want to keep their lifestyles afloat, and in order to do that, the worker bees need to keep working. So we have this propaganda about "Be Safe," and the drive to convince the population that if they wear masks, sanitize, etc, they can be immune.
Never mind the deaths or the case count. Be Safe and keep working, citizen.

I suggesting to use the antigen to screen for pcr trest. Only if u get a positive antigen result then would u be forwarded to do a pcr to confirm for surety its covid. U only using the positive antigen result to form a shortlist for pcr testingredmanjp wrote:I think the regular PCR test is much more expensive but more accurate.
But the antigen test are very cheap so they should expand testing with these tests. Test all asymptomatic persons who are contacts of positive cases.
Also test anyone requiring a test for medical reasons like surgery dental procedures etc.

if someone is self-employed and turns up positive, is there any grant available for missing a month of income? not many people in a position to foot that 'out of pocket'
