it depends on whether she actually received a quarantine order, or was just asked to stay home. if it was the former, then she could be charged.

Hmmm valid point. Fortunately i have not had to go for a test as i exhibit imo no signs of covid and my body temp remains between 36 and 37. But, and i could be wrong so those who have done tests can correct me, when u do a test by the government u are given in writing a statement saying that u are supposed to stay home for the next two weeks. You are also given a sick leave notice informing your employer of the charges the employee faces for violating this order. If the woman (acclaimed to be a wedding hostess/manager/planner) who stayed at tropikiss was tested by the government then she should have also gotten that documentation. Imo that wedding planner is or is afgiliated with the 1 per cent. Hence why u aint hearing nothing about her. Just like u seeing zesser parties getting squashed and pics with the police line up looking down on these individuals. U aint gonna see that fanfare far less any charges for those 1 percenters that was palancing ddi. Double standards. And TTPS does wonder why people have so little respect for them.

At the end of the day, our health care system will become way overwhelmed and the only solution to this at this time is to drastically reduce the amount of people outside and that is a lockdown. As harsh as it is, it is the truth. We will suffer financially, but it has to be done. Everyone knows this. Rowley knows this. He is trying his hardest to buy some time, but if he doesn't act soon, this could pretty much cripple Trinidad.

The latest studies show that the most effective methods of control are open air spaces, maintaining distance and the adoption of universal mask use.

Maintaining a distance of 6 ft instead of 3 ft cuts likelihood of transmission in half.

Universal masks cuts likelihood of transmisson nearly 85%.

Well T&T has decided that we going perpendicular with this curve thing.
We certainly going to become famous for self inflicted pain and suffering in the caribbean.
The heart wrenching stories of loss and pain are soon to become our daily fare on social media.
Our desire to protect our children can only be achieved by adult T&T being healthy ( remember the inflight protocol for oxygen masks).
Today there is no guarantee that you cannot be infected, but you can certainly can do many things to mitigate or avoid the risk.

So my neighbor just told me that she was denied testing at the health center because she didn't have a fever. She says she feels like crap, is experiencing body chills, pains, is developing a cough.

What the firetruck is wrong with our testing facilities?

She will be going st Clair tomorrow to be tested but this is ludicrous. She says 3 other people were turned away because they had no fever.

All they're telling them is to isolate for 7 days and come back if it gets worse. One of those who came in for testing is a store worker at a popular mall.

How are we freaking up testing so badly?

Because low testing = low numbers = Government working.

Oh and asymptomatic carriers are a myth in Trinidad.

Insufficient capacity to accommodate at-will testing. Insufficient funding to provide testing.
Too many people at the bars and beaches to slow the spread fast enough.

70% of symptomatic covid cases don't have fever. However, she says she feels warm and has chills and aches. It's possible the tablets she took earlier reduced the fever when she was at the clinic but she should not have been turned away. It's very likely she had Covid.

Yes but for some reason it never passed 99.2 degrees. Another doctor friend in NY said his symptoms were very similar, where he felt like he had a fever but it didn't register above 99 though he said for one brief period his temperature was close to 100.

In my opinion, if she believes that she actually has Covid-19, she should self-isolate immediately.

She has been since Monday when she first started feeling sick. I sl met her briefly Saturday (I had my mask on, she didn't), she was over at some friends Saturday as well and also saw her brother on Sunday. Not a big group to contact trace luckily.

except the virus will soon outsmart that. asymptomatic ppl can infect others who can be symptomatic. the numbers aren't that low again. we likely haven't seen the worse because it takes about 1 week on average to get symptoms, maybe 1-2 days before someone goes for a test, then at least a week till they get the results. so we probably haven't seen the election day infections, far less the 'last lap' bar & beach infections.
