I was gonna make a comment about hope he had insurance but it remind of a situation with my uncle in cunupia who always paying insurance for over 10 years...but apparently it have a clause that every year you hadda update your inventory with receipts and serial numbers ....and who does really take on that...

Hope the Member of Parliament for that area brings this to the Minister's immediate attention for investigation. This is a massive disaster happening before our eyes. The flooding effects are just one, the mountain landslipping will happen over many years.

The MP, T&C, and Police should issue those residents warnings about building house in lagoon.
If it repeats (ie. they get flooded again) they should be fined, and a third time should be jail.

This isn't the type of flooding like October 2018 where the waters just rose gradually.

This is rushing water.

Tens of thousands of tonnes of water barreling through your hard would surely affect the walls/foundation.

And the authorities just made it worse by saying that everyone just has to Adapt to the flooding! , so in other words no one is taking responsibility and you just have to accept that if your area is flood prone its a hard luck...

and well a lot of that is done by the contractor
