Bess in everyway, S10 only has a higher res screen and possibly faster in some benchmarks but p30 pro cameras are probably better

Have experience with two midline Huawei phones the p8 and p9 lites.
Both of them had sheit battery life after a year, running flat after 8 hrs with norm use.

Dunno if the higher end ones have the same issue. Camera quality was superb tho, and the OS was buttery smooth.

Upgrades? Is not a desktop.

I don't have one, I got a p20 Pro and a guy in the office has the p30 pro. Battery life is amazing on both.

After a full day of heavy use I'll always be over 50%

The p20 pro takes good pictures, and I see alot of reviews claim the P30pro as one of the best camera phones ever. There's a three-grand or so difference between them so if you want good enough pix, P20pro can work. Or go all out and get the P30pro

Keep in mind Huawei buyers that new phones WILL NOT be supported by Google and it's services.

Only current released models will be supported

Because of the ban in the US Huawei will either be running the freebase Android os that is baron in the updates department or a custom Chinese firmware without google play, maps, mail app etc.

So from next gen you won't get google security updates and you will be dependant on 3rd party apk websites for mainstream apps...(hello spam and advertisements)

If Huawei is appealing to you then at least wait till next year until you see how the new OS and everything will be running.

Was now looking at reviews between the mate 20 pro and p30 pro. Seems the mate 20 pro has some issues with vids when switching between cams.

from around 5:40.

I really wanted the face unlock because of I dont really have fingerprints.

A pic I took last night.
Received mine from titan procurement divali night.
Haven't managed to do a proper zoom up pic yet as I looking for a good location.

Had very little to no light. Phone does well in low light.

So far so good. Rather impressive for what it is though.Image

Yeah if trump wasn't such a backside... also for the zoom shots I recommend a tripod makes the shots clearer

Huawei P30 pro reviews in Trinidad

Postby Duane 3NE 2NR » June 13th, 2020, 9:01 am

The Huawei P40 Pro+ is the name for their new handset and it takes what the company calls visionary photography to a new level. The release date has just been confirmed, June 25, 2020, alongside an eye-watering price US$1,649 (£1,299 in the U.K.).

3CD79586-139E-40AE-8542-3E06260133B5-18604-000002CE4355C755.jpg

The P40 Pro has three cameras and a time-of-flight sensor. The Pro+ adds an extra lens, making it a five-camera phone. As well as time-of-flight, the Pro+ will boast an ultra-wide 50MP sensor, an ultra-wide 40MP sensor for cinematography, an 8MP telephoto that is the equivalent of a 3x zoom and one more.

That one more thing is potentially amazing: an 8MP telephoto lens with the equivalent of 10x optical zoom compared to the main ultra vision wide.

To achieve a 10x zoom equivalent is remarkable. You need a phone that’s super-thick to achieve it. But as this phone is still less than 1cm thick, Huawei has found another way: a periscope camera.

Unfortunately no Google Play Store on board.

^about the missing Play Store... Just last night I installed Google Play Store, and WhatsApp, YouTube & Chrome on a mainland China spec P9 Lite. Sideloaded Google stuff on Mate 30 Pro in February so there's still a workaround

Was reading they patent a liquid lens for phone.

Technology changing fast but i'd give that some time to catch on.
