Now I need to get a proper chair to sit and work with.

Yea I am really feeling it now with the make up work space I am using. Have one of those small lifetime folding table and started with a dining table chair, went to a metal folding chair and now back to the dining table chair yes.

Luckily we have a spare bedroom that is A/Ced or else I would have lost my mind with the heat.

From personal experience, this is not good for prolonged use; can cause or exacerbate back problems.

Thanks. Any advice barring getting a work chair? 3 weeks now I am ok with the arrangement.

You might be able to get one at Pricesmart Dave. Can't speak to the quality though.

I have been working from home for four weeks now. The first two weeks, I was using an old dining room chair. Then my back began to act up and I felt the makings of a pain in my lower back while showering.

I went Pricesmart that same weekend and bought one of the office chairs. It's the black one with the mesh back. It did make a difference and is more comfortable and having some adjustments, it is more ergonomic than the old dining room chair.

I would recommend it.

I would say taking frequent breaks and monitoring your posture like shown in some of the submitted pictures (feet flat on ground or foot rest and arm support).

Do plenty planks and bridge exercises to strengthen your core
Going to get bone cracking will not strengthen the muscles which hold up your back so issues may reoccur

Correct...after trying almost all these different types of therapies to avoid surgery I must say nothing helped as much as doing dr recommended back exercises religiously.
