La policía está buscando a un hombre venezolano que se cree que disparó y mató a un compatriota suyo en Point Fortin el jueves por la noche.
Padre de tres hijos, Daniel Vásquez, de 30 años, de Wickham Street en Point Fortin, murió después de que le dispararon varias veces en el pecho cerca de un carro de "shawarmas" en la carretera principal del sur.
Vásquez había ido a comprar algo se comer cuando lo mataron.
Según un informe policial, alrededor de las nueve y media de la noche, Vásquez había ordenado un "shawarma" y estaba esperando cerca del carro cuando el otro venezolano se le acercó.
Un testigo ocular dijo que los dos comenzaron a discutir y el asesino sacó un arma y le disparó a Vásquez varias veces antes de huir.
Vásquez murió en el acto.
Cuando Newsday visitó Waskz Street donde Vasquez vivía, un vecino dijo que se había movido recientemente a Point Fortin, pero también se quedó en Tanner Street. "Me dijo que llegó a TT para hacer una mejor vida por él y sus tres hijos.
