I wonder if he'll be able to visit her now?
A PALMYRA man was shot after he told a man to leave his sister and their home early Friday morning.
The victim was shot to the left eye and left wrist by the suspect, a 34-year-old security guard.
The suspect, also of Palmyra, was detained by police shortly after the incident.
A police report said that the victim was at his home when around 1.10 a.m. he heard his dogs barking.
He went outside to check the premises and saw the suspect, allegedly armed with a firearm.
The suspect allegedly opened fire and the victim was struck twice. The suspect fled.
The victim was taken to San Fernando General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
Officers of the Southern Division Task Force, Emergency Response Unit and Ste Madeleine Police Station responded and conducted enquiries.
Police detained the suspect at his home at Deonarine Street.
