2 TEENAGERS ARE TONIGHT HOSPITALIZED, AFTER THE GETAWAY VEHICLE SEEN BELOW, INVOLVED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CARIBBEAN JEWELLERS ROBBERY ON LOWLANDS MALL TOBAGO ON MONDAY, WAS INTERCEPTED BY POLICE.

THE TEENAGERS WERE OCCUPANTS OF THE MOTORCAR.

THERE WAS AN EXCHANGE OF GUN FIRE AND A NUMBER OF MEN FLED THE MOTORCAR, AFTER THE VEHICLE CRASHED IN THE WHIM AREA.

TWO ARRESTED WITH 32 FAKE BANK CARDS
A Columbian man is among two men arrested with 32 fake ATM cards and TT$10,000 at West Mall on Saturday night.
Police said they seized 29 forged Republic Bank cards, two First Citizens Bank cards and one Scotia Bank Card.
Newsday was told one of the suspects is from Glencoe and is a known bank card forger and trafficker.
Members of the Fraud Squad’s ABM Task Force, led by Sgt David gathered intelligence and received further information of the illicit operations.
Police waited in the area and observed the men in a silver grey Kia Sportage SUV approaching the RBC ABM around 11.45 pm.
The men were arrested and their car searched where the items were found. The suspects, ages 35 and 34, were arrested and taken to the Fraud Squad Office. Ag Cpl Cummings is continuing investigations.

No one held with an illegal firearm should ever be granted bail, but if they do manage to get out of it and you’re held a second time, it should be a mandatory life imprisonment with no possibility for early parole......

Five bullets for woman in Fyzabad bookstore

Shot: Navita Premchand

GUNMEN attempted to kill a woman at her workplace in Fyzabad on Friday.

Navita Premchand, 33, of St John’s Road, Avocat, was shot five times shortly after she entered the bookstore where she works at Guapo Road.

As Premchand collapsed on the floor, the gunmen ran out and escaped in a waiting vehicle.

A 16 year old boy who came in to purchase a phone card found her and raised an alarm.

Around 8.40 a.m. two masked men alighted from a Nissan Tiida and entered the bookstore where Premchan is employed as a cashier.

They ambushed Premchan and opened fire before making their escape.

Police said nothing was taken from the store nor the victim.

Premchan was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where is undergoing emergency surgery.

Officers of Fyzabad, Siparia and Southern Division Task Force responded and are searching for the shooters.
