So much for "young blood" making a change. The likes of her and "Bamsee squeezer" are real disappointments. The only advantage of youth it seems is to excuse their behaviour when they mess up.

What a waste...:|

Now that you have got a feel for the level of incompetence in the tourism business, this is how we stacked up against out neighbours. These are the numbers for long stay visitors to four islands in the Caribbean. In terms of arrivals, Grenada and Tobago were close rivals in terms of numbers of long stay tourists in 2005. Grenada had few resources but look what they achieved with the little they had.

Country : 2005 2019

Barbados: 547,000 694,620 27%
St Lucia: 318,000 400,000 26%
Grenada: 98,000 165,000 68%
Tobago: 87,000 20,000. -77%

And no one has been held accountable except the poor investors who have lost their shirts.

This is deeper than the seabridge. This is about international arrivals into ANR and the decline in both the number and directness of flights from NA and Europe.

Tobago only has the seasonal SunWing charter from Toronto, the Virgin and BA from LGW neither of which are daily or direct and the last international flight is the Condor from Frankfurt which is also not direct.

Tobago was quiet because over 70% of the workforce is employed in the THA public service so most have to hush.

Nah Tobago not harden like POS, Morvart, La Brea and Point Fortin, and have shown in the past that they will vote for another party easily. Remember dey don't have to deal with the afro vs indo dynamic as in Trinidad.

Lemme chime in, say what I have to say and be out.

Tobago is like a whole family house. Everybody have their parents, grandparents, great grans, auntie, uncle, brother, sister, cousin, whoever in quite a close knit community. Everyone knows everyone.

Sad part of that is that there is a mix of all where it comes to politics:

Outside the NAR, PNM has always been the majority vote because it's community people they voting for... and because of that close knit mentality, majority of people do not vote for the country as much as they voting because of who close in their community, Sadly many of these are PNM reps long standing and as such will be favorable vote.

Second thing and regardless of if some want to admit it or not, politics in this country has racism lines stitched into it... more so in Tobago. So being that whole community and tradition thing into play where generations get taught that "Trinidadians only use and outsmart people in Tobago and "dem indians want to take over" are things sadly festered since slavery days.

As long as that mentality is taught, nobody in a majority is going to vote for a particular party. That's like telling a UNC stronghold for example to just "vote PNM cause they have better ideas for the country" noooobody in majority there is going to do that.

Why?

Same thing I just said: Community, traditions, and mentality.

Those who have either voted because they did not like PNM or they voted for the country's benefit in their eyes or whatever reason, would not be in any level of position to win over the community who "great granny\granny\mammy\ auntie\sister\cousin vote for PNM and allyuh should too cause is "right" or "the best ting" or "they do more than them other people"... even to the point that those voters don't even bother to because they feel it won't make a difference some times. Not to mention people who party support like to ridicule who in another party and confusion reigns in a community,

Do NOT tell me that doesn't happen in certain constituencies in Trinidad.

It's a shame but it is what it is. Until Tobago has some OTHER party with people in Tobago they like more, they will continue to vote PNM and they will continue to take whatever crap comes because the majority of people in TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO do not vote for COUNTRY...

only for PARTY and PEOPLE IN that party.

Until EVERYONE votes for the country's benefit, democracy will go nowhere for generations to come.

So easily as some can say "it good" and "let them stay there" it no different in any stronghold whether it's UNC or PNM or whosoever comes or goes.

I done. I gonna go to Subway and order some grass.

They "love" one another bro. It's a deep secret that they keep. It's rampant. It was no joke what Sat said about them. Morgan Job and Skippy had relieved this a while aback. It's one of the reasons why they dont like outsiders.

4. The archipelagic waters of Trinidad and Tobago shall
include any areas of the sea that are enclosed by the archipelagic
baselines drawn in accordance with section 6.

5. The sovereignty of Trinidad and Tobago as an archipelagic
State extends to—
(a) the archipelagic waters regardless of their depth
or distance from the coast; and
(b) the airspace over the archipelagic waters as well
as their bed and subsoil and the resources both
living and non-living contained therein.....

....
6. (1) The archipelagic baselines of Trinidad and Tobago
