Denny's was badly run by the Franchisee.

Denny's in America is successful. And portions are huge.

The owner is the son of the Cico " big wig " - Forex is not an issue .

Maybe if he lose the Rolex and gold earrings and listen - Denny's in TT would be like in America.

The other place they should close down is Wendy's.

It is NOT the same Wendy's as in America.

The beef like rubber and OJTs runs the outlets - in TT.

The beef comes from discarded Audi tires :D

  I agree with you, it was like a watered down version, the very few times I went to Denny's or Ihop in the US, I could never finish my portions.

Wendy's I actually frequent, I rather have their chicken sandwiches than the burgers (not a fan of any local burger fast food outlets BK etc) but I love Wendy's fries and never really had a problem service wise (although for the last couple of months Chaguanas never has biscuits for breakfast). :agrue:

Wendys has changed the chicken in their sandwiches from real chicken to processed patties like what BK has in theirs. I don't go much but since that switch I don't go at all.

Denny's was epic failure the two times I went (service or lack thereoff, lack of menu items - how could a breakfast joint not have coffee?) and that was when they were recently opened.

Forex aside there is something wrong with local restaurants.

they really need to allow proper work permits for the foreign nationals in the food industry

the large majority of our workforce available for the food service industry aren't really capable of much
more without substantial training and culling of the undesirables, far less the punctuality work ethic

for business like kfc where the number of items are very limited (thigh, bw, fries, cole slaw)
they can work but anything above that plus customer service is a no-no

Without going into technical details.

"Recession" or " Boom Time " is defined as an decrease or increase in a country's GDP.

Although BP find gas and oil etc. - it has to translate into revenue - meanwhile we still in a recession .

Because the GDP size has decreased - gone limp. Rowley Administration need Viagra.

Just to correct you the branch at Library corner NEVER had any standards to begin with, worst bunch of wajangs in one place. But that branch closed down a while now didn't last long, everybody complain about staff there.

Where in trini have good service bro

Denny's had the worst service and menu choices and long wait time

- and then they want to charge 10% service charge - gangsters eating place.

Plenty Business places in Trini give good- to very good-to excellent service

Examples:

1. Caroni Licensing Office (Heavy T)

2. Texas de Brazil (Food Buffet)

3. Adam's Bakery, Maraval (Food Bakery)

3. RHD Technologies, Maraval (Computer & Accessories )

Kool.

Wish you could have listed more since we have thousands of other services.
Seem this is just a handful and s shame

U want the man to write every single business with good service?
Lol. Maybe zoom could start an official "Good Service" thread.

I nominate Giro Pizza in Chaguanas.

99% of places with good service tend to have the owners or family present ALL the time
which is a requirement in general

Dennys and other such "investments" by big money folks are doomed from the start because
the owners never there

Unless you have been in the food or alcohol business long time the odds are very highly against you if you not there and present.

I knew one of the owners of Hooters when they were here, he said after they got their bar license was when money really starting lorsing, bar staff will tief you left right and centre

Not really. Many foreign franchises like KFC, Pizza Hut and Subway continue to do well in Trinidad.
Starbucks is always busy.

Starbucks is an American success Worldwide.

They draw a "yuppy" crowd backed with excellent service. Product mix and image is a 10.

They are also in the Tea business . They purchased a Tea company for $620 Million US dollars .

If you like Hong Wing - that is your choice.

If you prefer Rituals - again your choice.

If your prefer Starbucks - and want to buy one coffee and " lounge off " - again your choice.

Choice is good - I like Tea :) - Green Tea - and Gov't Juice - It's my healthy choice.
