Ideally, 1 permit to keep 1 air-rifle.
But dealers here like to mark the date and serial number of your purchase on it and thereby making future purchases questionable.

Shocks... I laminate my permit as I got it....

Good move.
So they cant write up on it.
They will just make a photocopy and write in that for their records

Points to note, don't know how true

I was told about a month or so ago in police admin that they stop giving out Imports and keep permits.
Anyone else who has one, do you know how many you can actually import. Say you bring in one and then sell it, what happens then?

Where is the petition at by the way? We make any progress? Also, I am thinking of buying one. The only special features I want to get is a suppressed barrel, adjustable iron sights with an option for rail for scope, and the most powerful one I can legally own locally, which should narrow down my choices drastically. What do you guys suggest?

TTT - Effective immediately the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has banned the use and importation of crossbows and has imposed stricter policies for the importation and use of air rifles.

I guess there was an increase in robberies and killings with the use of crossbows and pellet guns

An air rifle was never to be used to protect yourself.

Yep the police can do that, but there no laws banning it.

Again banana republic where someone wimms and fancies are greater than the laws of the land.

Has a bill been passed banning as describe by the TTPS?

I guess if the country embraces a serious will to die while defending themselves or their property the TTPF will ban that too.

Again air rifles are not to defend yourself, you can have your permit revoked if you use it to defend yourself. It's all at the discretion of the COP to issue and revoke.

So the ban on air rifles is use and importation not purchasing atm?
Once u have a valid license to purchase, shops will still sell air rifles ?
