Two police officers shot in the beetham.

Two police officers have been shot in an area called Hell Yard in the Beetham.

The shootings occurred around 7.45 this evening.

Reports are still sketchy but police say the officers were on an operation when the attacker opened fire on them.

A male officer was shot in his head while a female officer has been shot in her foot.

The both have been rushed to the Port-of-Spain General hospital where they are undergoing emergency surgery,

Make officer got grazed in the head, female officer got shot in the foot.

Wish we could set aside a portion of the country with access to the sea and wall them in.
No one leaves to mingle with normal citizens and no one enters unless you displaying that kind of behavior.
We can send in basic necessities like biscuits (crix,bourbon,duos) and toilet paper for those that claiming to be "normal and cool" and "not of that life", good boys, etc. I mean, we're human after all, right?
They can fill rainwater to drink, they survive on guns and drugs anyway so yeah, that works out fine.
In this new area, they can have their own laws to make themselves feel important.
Two hundred 55 inch flat screen TV's will also be handed out for placement throughout said area for viewing of Crime Watch.
A new hospital will be constructed but will be run by them.
Pregnant women may be airlifted or shuttled out via maxi at selected exit points. The children and mothers will be given a choice of a normal life to live among Trinis but if any beatup of any kind or any powder being dabbed on said mother's neck, will result in both mother and baby being sent back inside.

TWO police officers are warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital after being shot by unknown assailants during an anti-crime exercise in Hell Yard, Beetham Gardens, Port of Spain on Thursday.

According to a press release issued by the police public affairs unit, Police Constable Adrian Moreno of the Western Division CID and Woman Police Constable Rachel George of the Western Division Task Force were members of a party of officers, who went to the Beetham area around 7.20 p.m. in search of suspects in relation to a recent break-in at American Stores, Western Main Road, St James, and the theft of goods valued at $100,000.

The officers were fired upon and PC Moreno suffered a graze to the left side of his head and a wound to his right arm while WPC George sustained a bullet wound to her left foot.

Both officers were taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where they were treated and subsequently warded in a stable condition. Their injuries were listed as non-life threatening.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime and Support (Ag.), Wayne Dick, as well as other senior officers are currently on the scene as investigations continue into this shooting incident.

Not everybody that lives or comes from a depressed area including the Beetham is "bandit", as some you suggesting. Have alot of good people in said areas. Unfortunately, it is the negative that is highlighted and creates what we call a stigma.

Details are still coming, however reports reaching our newsroom indicate that two Police Officers have been shot while on an operation at Hell Yard, Beetham this evening.

The shooting occurred around 7.45 pm this evening while the Officers were on an operation, the attacker is then said to have opened fire on them.

A male officer was reportedly shot in his head while a female officer has been shot in her foot.

The Petty Room says their names are WPC George and PC Moreno. They have pics, they look real young. Poor things speed recovery.

Brotherhood is correct though. Problem is their numbers are badly outweighed by the idiots.

I know some good people(real mammy-nice-child) with good qualifications and are reluctant to put their address as Beetham or Laventille when applying for jobs. Interviews suddenly become edgy.....

Sadly a high percentage of them feel obligated to live up to the negative stigma. Neverending mess.......
