Bandits make off with $1.5M in PriceSmart robbery
Police are currently searching for three men who allegedly robbed the Mausica branch of PriceSmart last night.
While information is still coming in, sources revealed that around 8pm last night, three armed men entered the building and interrupted a managers’ meeting.
The men announced a holdup and ordered one of the managers to open a vault in which cash was being kept.
The assailants stuffed a large sum of cash into bags - initial estimates place the sum to be at $1.5 million – before escaping.
No one was hurt in the ordeal.
The police were notified and a team of officers including Sup Moses, Insp Maraj and Sgt Thomas, visited the scene.
An all-points bulletin was issued following the robbery and several road block exercises were conducted in the immediate vicinity; however, the suspects were not held.
Investigators have since reviewed CCTV footage of the incident and have also received key bits of information which they hope they will use to make an arrest in the immediate future.

Yeah, the amt of money people spend there is insane. You see people go there to get 'essentials', then they come out with the essentials plus the big box of klondike as well as several other things.
