Need some Plumbing Assistance

OK guys, so where i live we do not have a constant supply of water ( our water is scheduled). hence we have to use Tanks to have a constant supply of water to the house. However i find that the water tastes really bad....was wondering if i get one of those Brita faucet attachments, would it make the water taste clean or is that a waste of time and I would need to invest into getting a full fledged filtration system.????

Install a normal cartridge filter on your mains before the tanks,rinse out the tanks,you will be surprised with what is in your water tank opie.Make sure if you are going to buy the filter,they have replacement filters cartridges because you will need them.

Now if the water is really bad, you can do both because those inline filters only filter out particles above a certain size, whereas activated carbon filters filter out chlorine and chlorine compounds. The real shiznit are those with the resin which actually softens the water and remove traces of lead copper etc.
