Police Officer shot in head at Ste Madeline

Say a prayer for 14862 PC Benjamin attached to the Ste Madeline Police Station. He was shot in the head while responding to a robbery at a Chinese Grocery. He's currently undergoing emergency surgery. Area under lock down. 1 suspect caught others on the loose. Lock your doors and sleep with ur weapons.

The Chao Yong Supermarket in St Clement's where PC Anslem Benjamin 14682 of the Ste Madeleine CID was shot in his head while responding to a robbery

The shooting occurred at around 8.40 p.m. when Benjamin and a woman police constable of the Ste Madeleine CID were responding to a report of a robbery at Chao Yong Supermarket at Naparima Mayaro Road, St Clement's.
Police said from the proprietor of Chao Young Supermarket of suspicious noises emanating from the rear of the building.
The officer was confronted by two men when he opened the back door to the building, one of whom fired a shot which struck PC Benjamin to the head

That's the issue right there. Same thing happened in barrackpore when the officer go shot. He had a women as the back up, they can not provide any support, they should keep women officers in the station to take report. I think they would do a better job there, at least the younger ones. The older ones should be taken out of the service.

shot in the line of duty......not sure what the true status is....if alive...hope he makes a full recovery...

@ women officers...seen quite a few efficiently handle some high powered fire arms....jus saying...

News report just stated that he's alive but in critical condition whilst the bullet is still lodged in his head. .

There was a huge commotion down the hill from us just about two hours ago. Two baddies were shot and two more escaped into the forest. Info may be a bit off amd I'm not sure if anyone died. This is up Guaracara

The WPC was not at fault in any way. When she heard shots and saw her partner fall she took cover and called for help. She didn't know how many assailants there were or their locations. No sensible person is gonna run out in the dark when they're alone and shots firing.
