They charged me a one time fee of $100.00

At first they set the static ip on the ps4 and opened all the relevant ports and I was getting NAT1 which i never get. Connection was sweet but i could not connect to psn on any other device so I told them I rather have to static ip on the modem to have access everywhere.

But thinking back I feel my gaming experience will be much better with NAT1 than NAT2.

Its a trade-off, better connection on ps4 only or normal on all devices. I mostly use ps4 for gaming anyways.

I only put on the ps3 to play Need for Speed Hot Pursuit once in a while.

Do you have a router running off the massy ont box? Or are you using the built in one?

How long did it take for them to do?

Going to call them now
All my common ports saying closed when I check the online tools

Yeah I only using the Massy Router for now. Hope u got through!

Thanks
Did what you said and everything is working great now.
Only different is that I'm using my router behind the massy one so I can customize the port settings myself
Very impressed with their service here, even though I had to pay the one time $100

Ok if you opened all the ports on your secondary router, what did Massy do? Just set the static ip on the ps4? or Massy router?

Massy router is in bridge mode for me
All ports open so it's a total pass through.

Did it this way so I can set port forward myself on my router

Interesting... so u have a dynamic ip on the massy router still?

Maybe I should set up mines like that too!

Static IP on the massy box

My router just distributes to the devices I have connected at home... It has the usual local 192.168.x.x local address

How consistent are massy pings? And is there anyone that has experience playing online Fps games on massy, is it good? Cause Digicel is terrible.

Fps Black ops 3 on PS4 full bars... I play last of us remastered mostly and u have to have good net for that game. Because it's finniky like that It works great to me. You can even get the coveted NAT1 type if Massy configures it for u. They ask for ur PS4 ip, set ur PS4 in a dmz and open all the ports necessary. But u will only be able to access psn on that one device on your network. If you want access to psn on other devices like PS3 and laptop then you will have to give up NAT1 and get NAT2.

Can you do a test on dslreports.com and post the results please? Run the speed test and select Gigabit/fibre. You can do it on a pc or mobile.

Anyone know if Massy uses IPv6 on their internet service? If yes, has this caused any problems for their customers?

Any reviews on this service so far for online fps gaming? Thinking of trying the 50mbps package since my Digicel contract just ended

Haven't tried anything else

Ok sounds good, notice their 100mbps package is considerably more expensive than Digicel but the 50 should be good enough for me.

What package you using?

Could you do a speedtest when you have a chance?

Thanks alot I appreciate it. Pings not that bad

Yeah I find $550 hard to pay for that package especially as Digicel offers 120 / 50 for $466 which is what I have now.

Would stick with Digicel but my new place already wired with Massy and Digicel gave me a 3 week lead time to do a relocation of service which I find utterly ridiculous.

At least Massy have no contract so I'll try them out in the meantime.

Hmm... Didn't know about that package
Massy got to my area first when my flow service was down for 3 weeks continuously
Have used them done since
No complaints other than now Digicel has a similar cheaper plan

Massy Change Name

The Telecommunications Services of T&T (TSTT) yesterday announced there would be a change in the name of its recent acquisition, Massy Communications Ltd.

In an advertisement yesterday, the company said the new name would be AMPLIA Communications Ltd as the old name can no longer be used.

TSTT acquired Massy Communications in early May for $255 million.

The announcement of the acquisition was made by then-chairman Emile Elias at a news conference.

According to the advertisement, TSTT said starting December 1, AMPLIA would market a "unique" set of products and services under the bmobile brand including the recently launched unlimited voice bundles.

"Customers can rest assured that, along with these changes they will continue to receive the quality service they are accustomed to by the same team of dedicated professionals that made this company what it is today." TSTT said

The company added, "we hope that you are as excited at the possibilities as we are. We look forward to continuing to transform your life and strengthening communities in T&T."

http://www.guardian.co.tt/business/2017 ... unications

The transition from Massy Communications to AMPLIA is a beneficial one. TSTT is the largest telecommunications provider in Trinidad and Tobago and has developed a 5-year strategic plan for the organization that will revolutionize the telecommunications landscape in Trinidad and Tobago, ensuing the deployment of the most advanced telecommunications solutions to customers.

GOING LIVE TO CHANGE LIVES! 1st December 2017
Notwithstanding these changes, we wish to assure you it is the same team that will continue to serve your day to day needs, operating independently and separate from TSTT. Most importantly, the team remains committed to serving you and ensuring that your needs are met

Within the last month I find that when I using my phone, there is a slight noticeable delay loading pages when using Massy, but not on the Flow.

I also notice that games would lag out for like 20 - 30 seconds, or until I got dropped. Not plenty times, but more often than before.
