Pedestrians aren't supposed to be crossing the highway in the first place.

As I keep saying, I'm more worried about JA driving. We have that in abundance...

Ah boy, the wit of sarcasm.

Have you ever seen the speed at which people drive on the Eastern Main Road????

That increased speed limit (if passed - and it seems almost a certainty) will be a recipe for people to drive even faster than they do now!

More accidents to come as kantish drivers up the ante. If the speed limit goes to 120 kph, what is there to stop someone from going 140-150 kph?

A set of old talk, that is what!

So instead of dealing with this, they are going to increase the speed limit.

what stopping them from driving at that speed now? How many pedestrian affected accidents you're seeing on the EMR? Your argument isn't based on logic but anecdotal evidence at best

Who is arguing?

There has been a bilateral exchange of ideas.

There are hardly any pedestrian accidents on the main roads....especially the EMR. As someone correctly pointed out is jackarse driving and inattentive driving that causes the majority of accidents on main roads and "back roads". Many dont observe simple road signs and signals and their stupid response is usually "i didnt see d sign dey na".
