Can anyone recommend a good GPS service?

Postby bee_z » September 11th, 2013, 11:56 pm

Looking for a reliable GPS service for Personal Vehicle tracking in case of theft. Can anyone recommend some providers and if possible, relate their experience with their service? Provision of vehicle recovery service is not necessary but preferred.
Thanks.

AirsupportGPS

http://www.tntairsupport.com/

I've only signed up with them less than a month now but they'll come to
you for installation + depending on the package you take your vehicle
will be protected from vandalism (even if it isn't stolen) and lastly
you get an install discount (I think it's $500) just for being a tuner.

You should really check out the website

Do they give a call when the alarm triggers to make sure you're safe or if a panic button is pressed?

Was hearing about gps intact. Anyone dealt with them? how was service?

i know one of the pilots

the hanger is located on the east of the airport so lets put a situation into play

your vehicle is stolen 0200
you call air support 0215

someone mayb would answer , 0215 ---> air support calls out a pilot 0220 ---> if the pilots answers , the pilots leaves home 0300 reaches in the airport 0345 the gate at the eastern side of the airport has no security at that time so its closed , pilot has to call AA to open the gate if they answer ( that is 45mins to open the gate ) 0430 the gate opens -----> pilot has to open the hanger ---> pre check A/C ---> flight plan ---> 0515 A/C is airborne say the car is stolen mayb south pilot take another 45 mins to reach south .... by that time car scrapped ....

and again the above will not happen if air support / pilot doesnt answer the fone , is it stated in the gps ther is a 24/ 365 service ?

you slow yes, you clearly missed where they have ground response  , obviously they would use the method most suited for the scenario

TCM , good service , but monthly fees , if you decide to change cars you could remove unit & place it in your new car, they provide vehicle recovery as well.

if the units looks like this be warned i had a few of these installed in my trucks , this unit gives alot of trouble , it was installed for 6 mths they had to service it about 4 times until i got fed up an returned all the units to a well known GPS company , also be very care full wher they install it , heat is a main factor in these units if they are installed in areas in the car which are exposed to heat the unit will give trouble also .....

my opinion dont buy it cuz it cheap , cuz every tom , dick & harry selling and installing these units , 75 % of them dont even know about the unit or wher it should be installed etc , what they do also is send the customers in ther waiting room and they also install used units , damage the dash and clips etc , when installing the unit ask questions also ask wher they installing it , read the warranty and ask questions about if the unit goes bad etc , these units are cheap made in china stuff , when it gives trouble they find every excuse to blame the customer and no refund sometimes is given

All the information presented in your timeline is inaccurate. I doubt you really know our pilots. Our service is primarily a ground intercept supported by aerial support. Unlike the other companies that just offer SMS tracking (and you supply your sim and pay for mobile services) we offer internet based tracking and SMS (and we pay for the card). We can see your car location every second of the day without having to author a SMS message and wait for a reply. Hence we don't use the word search in our name or ads.

Now with internet tracking, a ground team and an aircraft supporting we can intercept your car in less than an hour guaranteed. After processing at TTPS its returned to you intact.

If at 2am you car is stolen and 215am you report it, at 215.1 am our ground team is in route. Keep in mind we run a 24/7 operations centre. So until you have seen our deployment it is really unethical to comment using hypothetical timelines and representing it as fact.

But hey no hard feeling. Thats just part of business.

Well we are sure they will be wherever needed at what time needed. So I guess it's up to the customers to decide who to believe....the only GPS provider who operate these aircraft or you, by the way weren't you supporting another provider before?
