JR Nation combined our voodoo to blow out that engine to give him the caution to keep from getting lapped lol.

I think NASCAR made the right call. A human can only react so fast to swap flags. Still the human factor involved.

More intense than they planned even if with the one G/W/C attempt

Well that's a first. Sweep an entire round.

Man if Kenseth wasn't pissed off before he is probably the maddest he has ever been now.

I wanted anyone else but Logano. Nothing against him, but he didn't gain anything but bragging rights.

NASCAR Nation gonna pissed despite Dale Jr saying he supports their decisions before and during the race.

Some people questioning Harvick's alleged/supposed right turn into the 6 as he was being passed.

Interesting theory from some drivers of harvick intentionally causing the wreck with his slower car.
I guess he was still up above the minimum speed nascar allows for slower/damaged cars.still think he shouldve dived out of the line like he did in the caution before.

I don't know though. It looks pretty suspect at this point from the outside cameras. From the inside, not so much.
Much like SpinGate...

& then there's the fact that all 4 Stewart-Haas Racing cars maybe penalized for some radiator issue this weekend.

Shout out to Greg Biffle for that Hail Mary though.

All that & Hell in a Cell later to follow up this Hell on a Track today.

Chase for the Sprint Cup - Championship 4
Nov. 20 Homestead-Miami

Among the notable changes for 2016:

• Keeping the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend, which is as late as it can be this year, moves Dover up in the 2016 schedule, to May 15, the Sunday before the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in Charlotte.

• Bristol Motor Speedway is adding a college football border war to its schedule this year, featuring Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee on Sept. 10. To accommodate the .533-mile oval's transformation from race track to football venue, the annual Bristol night race is on Saturday, Aug. 20. That shifts Michigan back a week to Sunday, Aug. 28.

• Daytona's annual event in early July returns to a Saturday night event after a rain-plagued edition on a Sunday night this season.

• Richmond's first doubleheader weekend of the season in April will now be spread over a Saturday-Sunday schedule instead of Friday-Saturday.

The 2016 schedule features two off weeks in addition to the Easter holiday, so Sprint Cup racing will go quiet March 27, June 19 and Aug. 14 next year.

Honestly even if Jeff wins I would have an asterisk to it. I'd rather him pass Logano and win than him being taken out, but it is what it is.

At the very least, Kenseth must be given a penalty matching what Jeff Gordon received for intentionally crashing Clint Bowyer at Phoenix International Raceway in 2012 (a 25-point penalty, $100,000 fine).

Should that end up being the case guess you can't say it's unprecedented but they sure seem to be making a point in this case that Matt was several laps down vs Joey who was the race leader, so that may stiffen any penalties.

NASCAR wrote:Daytona Beach, Florida (November 3, 2015) -- Matt Kenseth , the driver of the No. 20 car, has been penalized for an infraction that occurred during the Nov. 1 race at Martinsville Speedway. This is a Behavioral Penalty [Sections 12.1, 12.8]. Kenseth has been suspended from NASCAR through the completion of the next two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship events and placed on NASCAR probation for a six-month period following issuance of the penalty notice.

"Based upon our extensive review, we have concluded that the No. 20 car driver, who is no longer in the Chase, intentionally wrecked the No. 22 car driver, a Chase-eligible competitor who was leading the race at the time,"said Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer. "The No. 20 car was nine laps down, and eliminated the No. 22 car's opportunity to continue to compete in the race.

"Additionally, we factored aspects of safety into our decision, and also the fact that the new Chase elimination format puts a premium on each and every race. These actions have no place in NASCAR."

· Danica Patrick, the driver of the No. 10 car, has been penalized for an infraction that also took place during the Nov. 1 race at Martinsville Speedway. This is a Behavioral Penalty [Sections 12.1, 12.8]. Patrick has been fined $50,000, assessed with the loss of 25 series championship driver points and placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31.

Matt Kenseth loses both appeals. Will miss races at Texas & Phoenix, ends 2nd longest consecutive start streak at 571 races.

I think there may be something to this driver's code. At least drivers like Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin (most prominently), Dale Earnhardt Jr., Dale Jarrett, Jeff Burton, etc have come out and basically said Joey could have helped prevent this by trying to at least talk to Matt.
But as I just heard on RaceDay, Kenny Wallace brought up a good point that its perhaps generational as to why that didn't seem to be the case here.
An example of that, even in this Chase was Jimmie Johnson & Kevin Harvick after Chicagoland. Brings to mind years ago Matt Kenseth/Jeff Gordon at Bristol & that brings to mind Jeff Gordon/Brad Keselowski at Texas last year.

Matt probably liking what everyone just saw.

Now he must win at the track where his best friend from Daytona basically owns next week. Sucks to be Logano.
