Who didn't see that coming, i was surprised they made it this year, more so Grosjean than Mag, Checo to HAAS?

Perez and Hulkenberg perhaps?

Possibly.

Perez makes the most sense. Comes with huge sponsorship and American-Mexican market tied.

They said money was an issue, so doubt Hulk.

Also rumors of perez and williams

Gasly has signed for Alpha Tauri for 2021.

Would like to see Albon go back there and be replaced at RB by Perez. Alex definitely isn't able to adapt to what that car needs to get the performance out of it but will be very comfortable in the AT and could bring AT up to the top of the midfield.

RB do have Tsunoda as their junior driver in F2 but one more year to see how things go at the F1 teams may work out best for them. Some people are thinking that Gasly will leave for an Alpine (Renault) seat later on, if he does leave it means they have someone with a fair amount of experience to lead the team into 2022.

Or Hulk.... 2021 would be a massive thing for RB with two strong drivers...

I don't think he'd be as good as Perez. He's done well in a car that's set up to be easy to drive and given the team suggestions on how to improve the suspension etc but I don't think he would do as well in the Red Bull.

Watching sainz take the lead on lap 2 was a thing of beauty, unfortunately the car could only do so much when the conditions returned to being dry.
It is a tough one at red bull. What is to say that the same thing won't happen to anyone else put into the 2nd seat there.

I'm thinking along the lines of MotoGP when Stoner won the title for Ducati. No one knew the monumental difference that Stoner made up on that bike until they had the challenge themselves. Former multiple world champions got on the machine and couldn't do the job.

I think right now Max and Charles are working wonders with the machines beneath them. For whatever reason Albon and Vettel can't seem to make up the difference.

Hamilton's greatest feat is that he makes everyone think he's a party boy jet setter when he's actually is as laser focused and committed as Schumi was.

Rosberg commented in the year he won, he did everything to gain an edge. Work out extra, tweak his diet, meditate, work with sports shrinks, ignore his wife.

All that to gain a fine margin to hopefully beat Lewis. He needed to be at 110% and hope Lewis had a bad day, or bad luck mechanically.

He wasn't up for doing that again and retired.

Have to give credit to Russell. He’s pushing that Williams as far as it can go. He actually out qualified Vettel in Portugal.

In portugal Vettel tried to do his q2 run on the mediums and couldn't get enough heat in them in his warm up laps to get them to work. Russel also beat him in quali today as Vettel had his lap time deleted for exceeding track limits tho.

Albon once again failed to deliver. It’s difficult to see him being retained by RB beyond this season.

That VSC as Lewis turned the corner makes it look like the stewards are doing everything to help him win WDC quicker.

It was clearly gonna be a vsc. Not sure if they were trying to wait for him to pass the pit entry before turning it on and mistimed it perfectly. Vsc was basically only on while he was in the pit.

Have to watch that quali over tomorrow night. That was hectic. I think stroll been called for a yellow flag infringement, hopefully no grid penalty.
