Real jhanjat in Monza. Bottas in P2 pipped at the start by the 2 McLarens and Racing Point. Vettel retire with brake failure. Leclerc major crash, red flagging the race. Lewis given 10s penalty for entering closed pit lane. And half the race still to go!

So...
Sainz to Ferrari
Riccardo to McLaren
Alonso to Renault
Vettel to racing point; going to be aston martin
And Perez out for next year so far

Albon hasn't been up to scratch.

I'd drop him to Alpha Tauri and bring Gasly back. Basically undoing the swap from last year.

Or maybe even drop Kvyat and bring Perez in.

Perez to Haas makes the most sense. Geographically, it benefits his sponsors and Gene's company expansion.

Alfa usually stick to Ferrari academy, RBR/AT usually keep with their own and let's be real, Kvyat is just keeping a seat warm for Tsunoda. Can't see Gasly going back to RBR after last year - marko has admitted AA's performance is partly due to him getting inferior parts, so I'm sure he'll improve.
As a Seb fan, I'm happy he has a drive but disappointed it isn't at RBR. It's a real cop out on their part as they're afraid of the conflict, but will never touch Merc without someone at that level next to Max.

Agreed. Would've liked to see him at Alpha Tauri though.

I think gasly wouldve walked the floor with him.
Perez barely matched Ocon as a rookie, and Lance has gone toe to toe with him this year despite being well regarded as the most undeserving driver on the grid.

Perez was doing better at the start of the season, then the Seb rumours started, he got COVID and the rumours got more serious.

Monza, Lance got lucky they screwed up perez' pit stop so he didn't pit under the safety car and then got the free pit stop under the red flag which ended up giving him a lot of points.

Stroll isn't a good benchmark but he definitely got lucky, also had two races when Perez was out so he now has that big points advantage. Maybe he also has some residual problems from Covid that are affecting his driving now. It's a crappy situation to go through all those things this year. Hopefully he gets a seat next year and can remain in the sport.

Haas could probably do with the money he brings but I don't see them coming out of the midfield in '22 but ya never know. There could be crazy races which end up with him on the podium there.

I remember someone saying that the race at mugello would be boring... No overtaking...

I say the track is pretty decent. Besides the accidents... The race was good

They should replace Circuit Paul Ricard permanently with Mugello.

I think it was only good because the accidents brought the field closer together. The fact that it would've been processional is why the accidents occurred. Everyone wanted to gain as many places as possible on the first laps. (after the start and for the safety car restart) After that 7 cars were out and besides the 3-4-5 cars there wasn't much action for the rest of the race. (Besides the lapped cars getting much better tyre prep doing an extra lap before the final restart allowing them to get past the non lapped cars at the back)

Agreed. I think the teams wanted to gain track position early because they couldn't predict how tyres would fare, thus no reliance on undercut.
The race may have nothing to do with the track itself, only way we'll know is if they go there again.

I liked the long pit straight and a difficult to defend 1st corner...I think without the crashes and red flags it would still be enjoyable.

Have to agree. Gasly put an embarrassing pass on him this weekend. I think that might be the final straw. Question is.....who takes his seat? Had to be someone who can work with Mad Max.

It's all planned.

You think a Fin like Bottas would announce something like that on the radio by himself?

I think it's PR to show that there is some level of "rivalry" at Merc and it isn't a Schumi/Ruebens situation.

Why would Merc jeopardize their winning combination. Winning the WDC and WCC for the past few years is exactly what they want.

Unpopular opinion but, I think its obvious now the FIA have turned on Lewis.

Since Canada 2019 incident I think they wised up to the fact that people have sensationalized him losing. Plus the influence in the sport is becoming more European, since the departure of Ross Brawn. With Domenicali it'll only get worse for him.

Albon, Giovinazzi and Grosjean (but what would F1 be without him) should be on their way out soon.
