Once for comparison sake I shipped through skybox via Miami. And yes they cleared and delivered as usual.

Which was cheaper and/or quicker?

Question, if I'm tracking the item through the EMS tracker, can I call TTPost and collect when it arrives and is cleared or do I HAVE to wait on the letter through the mail, and if I can, do I call TTPost Head Office in Piarco?

I really need the part and mail delivery where I live is very poor.

Story time.....

Once it is ready for pick-up, give it a couple of days for the letter. If still no letter, go in to them.

Once I waited on the letter, although my package was stated as being at TTPost ready for pickup, and no letter was coming after what I thought was a long time.
So I went in and you know they wanted to charge me extra for storage?

I told them I got no letter and it is unfair that I have to pay extra. They check the system and saw that indeed the letter was not delivered. I didn't have to pay the extra.
I asked if I can come in and collect future packages once I know they are ready for pick-up oui. They said that I could

Ok, so I called Head Office yesterday and the rep said it was on the way to TTPost Marabella. TTPost Marabella called me this morning to say it's ready, I just need to walk with the notification.

So closer to lunch time I will head to the Williamsville Post Office and see if they have the notification because if I wait on them I may have hundreds in storage.

About the item, it's an output planetary gear for my Sportero that I was quoted $9,000TT for. I paid $217US shipped to TT and the cost to collect from TTPost is $508 so (fingers crossed, knock on wood) provided it works, I've saved $7,000

I was looking for parts for my 96 evo4 and found them here. Just wanted to know if this site is legit. I've seen good reviews. Any cons?

guys theres also partsouq.com - their prices somewhat cheaper than on amayama-

they also show you the actual pic of the part and if you cant afford the part they also give you substitute brand with the part number - like 555 or RBI.

prices cheaper plus you dont have to sign up to buy - like amayama - plus they accept our credit cards without issue.

its easy - go on the site type in your chassis # and it pulls up your car specifically- how it left the factory.

side note - if say you did something like change engine from say QG to SR and look to purchase a sensor - common sense will tell you they will only show you parts for your car based on your chassis # - which will show your original engine the car left with from factory... and they will only show you sensors fro THAT engine.

so just be aware -you can order parts without issue - if your car doesnt have any extreme mods / changes to it.

if however you know your full correct part # and u want to order -- thats different.

airbag clock spring for T32 x trail is like 90 usd..... on amayama its $125 - shipping is yet to be added.

tip - its may be cheaper to ship to your skybox and let them bring it in instead of shipping directly to Trinidad.

When the tracking suggest delivered, call ttpost they will advise you if it’s ready for you to come collect. Don’t necessarily have to wait for the message in mail

bumping an old post here for some info .

i have ordered pc parts from ebay and such before but auto parts is abit different

so guys i want to order from partsouq. - similar service like amayama

so this is the list of parts i need.

Shopping Cart
13270AX01A Nissan 1
1327653Y11 Nissan 4
13028AX001 Nissan 1
13085AX000 Nissan 1

13510V720A Nissan 1
15066AN200 Nissan 1

56217AX000 Nissan 4

0165802091 Nissan 4
2536041L01 Nissan 12
253686P000 Nissan 16

Items total: 480.64$
Shipping total to USA : 65.03$
Price total: 545.67$

heres the thing - if i change the shipping address to Trinidad and tobago - the shipping price moves from 65.03 USD to $137.36 USD.

so obviously shipping to the USA is cheaper.
partsouq uses DHL as their cheapest carrier.

my question is this :
if the items are to be shipped to the USA to be collected by your skybox company (websource etc etc )

would there be any customs charge ( to be paid to the US customs) that your skybox company will have to pay to receive the package from DHL ??

or would it be no charge ??

keep in mind parts are leaving japan and entering USA.

if this is the case - does that means your skybox would then pay whatever necessary fees DHL has to collect - release your package to your skybox. ......

then your skybox will then take your items and ship it to you clearing TT customs as well as apply whatever fees they paid to DHL to receive your package from them ??

advise me gents .

No charge when entering the US. That's not the final destination.

not realy inno - i brought in a 500 GB SSD drive about 2 weeks ago - my total cost was 86 TT for the skybox service

so i would think is the items being brought in that would cost more

but generally speaking - automotive stuff costs alot .
but still cheaper than going to the dealer.
