You talking about off duty. Previously uniformed officers was attacked by school children when trying to restore Law and Order in POS. Freeport junction saw a Youthman//Student cussing a police like a wharf rat.

Brain Dead Minister Of Edu. say school violence has been curbed? A@sk want to know why Maha Sabha schools not celebrating Carnival. What Aspeck of carnival he want dem to celebrate? he should look in the pannier and see how many of his bean fell in there.

There needs to be more aggressive measures to treat with these young offenders other than special camps that Students from Chaguanas East went to and still came out without learning that there are consequences for their stupidity, lawlessness, etc.

That Min. of Edu. is probably the biggest jacka$$ I've seen, that includes all the madmen, vagrants, etc.
He just so stupid and clueless about what going on. Half the time he talking he looking like dead in ah sleep and he does half to pause in the 2 or 3 times to take a breath before finishing a sentence.

School chirren these days :/

Postby src1983 » March 20th, 2017, 10:56 am

This whole up coming generations gone.

The lack of discipline combined with the consequences of actions festers this behavior

When you call the parents they come to defend their child rather than listen.

The ministry needs to put if foot down and set an example.

You want to fight, then understand you will be expelled and your parents be put in court for damages.

After the child realizes that they now need to travel or take a bus to grande to go to school or parent pay for private education then you will see a decline

Very wise decision by The MoE. The only problem is that can only work on Mars and his side kick Jenny came from Venus. Of course dey boss came straight from Le Coto to White Hall.

The four girls from Mayaro should have been arrested and sent straight to YTC to defecate in a bucket and to see a Magistrate soon after. I am sure their actions are described in the Summary of Offences Act.

They want to raise the penalties for a lot of things. I say ten years hard labour for their lawless tail ........

If it were not for cell phone vids all these fights would have gone undocumented...school fights have always been around, its because of connectivity and available media resources that this is seemingly a new thing, when it is not......

Simply Remove the Student, hold him in custody until his parents come for him, Send BOTH the child AND his parents for evaluation, if the outcome of the evaluation is that the child needs to be temporarily removed from the school then by all means do it- send him for proper consultation, and if that does not work, then BAn him from normal schools.

I often make the point that people only hear what I was saying when they came into the room and not before. The Minister of Education says the bullied child is equally to blame. If she had died will he still blame her? Does he have all the facts and hearing more than the persons who was actually present?

What would cause a student to "pull a Scissors" and is this fact ...........?

They was provoking her with racial taunt and other degrading statements. She pull a scissors to threaten and shut them up. Both camps gets suspended because 'fighting' is not tolerated by schools policy and is seen as affecting the overall image of the school. She pulled a weapon and lost the fight. Both suspended. Normal. Long time if 2 get caught fighting both get strokes regardless who was right or wrong or start it.

but is only like 3 kids get suspended
wasn't 6 involved.
But I don't understand suspension. To me that was a good thing, back in our school days at least for a child. You get dressed for school each day, go lime return, home after school.
Would a better punishment be to make them work after school, sweeping classes, removing chewing gum for under desk cleaning graffiti from toilet walls? and when they dont show up after school till late their parents would definitely know .

that's the thing these clowns could do whatever they want and with the punishment being so laughable they could give 0 f#%ks as to the repercussions
"waz dat? yuh bash another student head in?? take a 3 days and come back"

maybe one day we will get a minister/school officials with a back bone until then hard luck for the students being bullied the system is not on their side

Just another joke for the students to laugh at and continue....the "disciplinary" actions for these animals is not enough to send a positive message to others.

You just have to hang one and you would see a difference.

Just a child? BS...some students can be disciplined with counseling and proper parenting etc...but there are others who have a mindset of "adults"...cannot be trained, cannot learn, corrupted by society/social network....how do u fix them? They will continue to terrorize schools influencing and hurting others..

Society has evolved in a way that is becoming uncontrollable...no longer can words and faith help..

Break some bones.

U hit a nail on the head there. This rounds kids glad to get suspended they get to stay home while everyone at work. Plus suspension doesn't help a child's future as they missing out on classes. In essence the more suspension the more doomed their future is. But they will enjoy every minute of it home watchin cartoon.
