Issue seems to have been resolved, no longer seeing packet loss. Less traffic on network at this time, we'll see if packet loss re-occurs when more users are online.

I need some technical help as I have been having this problem a while now.
I have a router(tp-link archer A6 AC1200) connected to my flow modem/router combo(Arris TG1672) that is in bridged mode so that my router does all the work for the routing. However, SOMETIMES after a power outage, my router loses its WAN ip and checking my router's system log, shows the discovery packet from my router to the dhcp server doesn't get any response.
So normally, to fix it I have to factory reset the flow modem; removing the bridge mode and that somehow restablishes my internet connection, but then I have to configure it back to bridge mode again. So I'll like to know what may be causing this and again, 99% of the time, there is no issue, even after a power outage.

Put the devices on a UPS.
You cannot avoid that. Some router manufacturers have chips that are just too sensitive to any variance in voltage after a general power loss and restore. Like the NVRAM chip used to erase sometimes. Especially the very brief voltage spikes. My old TP-Link router and Linksys repeater were like that. And don't talk about Netgear routers, had to replace it twice before i learnt that it's crap. I switched to a new ASUS and i keep the firmware updated and now i don't have to do a manual reset every time current cut off.

But use a UPS, a Forza 375W is about $350 and more than capable of handling the load of a router and modem.

Spoke to an agent after waiting almost 1 hr. Apparently there has been a lightning strike that working its way through and they are advising against restarting your router even if internet is slow as you will lose service. I lost Electricity so router was shut down. Just repeating what was said.

FYI,

You can request a rebate on your bill for an outage. For an almost 30 hour outage, $33.23.

Did FLOW change the software on the new white TG2492LG-NA router for anyone else. They updated it to the software that was on the older routers and ever since they changed it I am unable to change the channels on 2.4 GHz and 5GHz and the 3 lights on the router no longer work properly. The WiFi light now flashes very weirdly and the other 2 lights do not turn on anymore. The WiFi also drops more often since they did this. Is this happening to anyone else?

Same issue with me. My lights still work though. The Username is 'admin' and the password is 'password'.

Looking at the RF parameters, can anyone give the optimum range for the downstream and upstream power and signal to noise ratio (SNR) specific to FLOW's TG2492LG-NA modem. Thank you.

Is it possible to change the DNS servers for either the connection, or clients on the "connect to" box?
I've taken a quick look at it, but haven't seen that option.

No, but you can easily force a DNS through your individual workstation, or through an external router if using one.

Reports of audio (outgoing) dropping in zoom calls, (video sharing turned off).
Even while connected to the cwc wifi.
Bandwidth is over 200mb both ways. But seems throttled.
Speedtests start at 15, then ramp up.

Hi does anyone know the cost to add a station to your flow lineup? Eg hallmark channel. I have the basic package with shoddy channels

What password? To share wifi, or to log into the router?

Wifi password used to be on a white sticker on the back/underneath.

Yup, I have the same problem. I was on the phone with tech support yesterday who told me that they "updated" the firmware on the boxes and now with this "update" you can't change your wifi channels. This doesn't make any sense to me. I opened another query with customer feedback, I'm waiting to hear what comes out of this.

Paying for 100mbbs allegedly getting 120 mbps

lap top 15.27 mbps , tablet 26.3 mbps, phone 42.4mbps

Several interuptions this week, finally called them and the undated setttings on the modem remotely.

So far much more stabel , generatlly staisfied but those readings makes me wonder, the lap top is connected with a cat 5 cable.
