My sis recently went turkey and brought back some
It's strong but nice
I let it sit in an enamel cup placed in a bowl for a few hrs then pour boiling water around the cup to get it to temp without stirring

You supposed to boil it to a bubbling boil over stage and then let settle
There are fortune tellers who can read your future based on how the grounds settle on the sides of container

Hence the need for plenty sugar.
Local 1% drink that everyday.
You can buy ready ground Turkish style coffee from Lawrence of Arabia Arabic food place in shoppes of maraval
Most Arab and Middle Eastern countries use the same method of coffee brewing that is used for Turkish coffee.

Wouldn't be surprising if true as even their flavoured drinks are Big Train which you can find in Pricesmart.

Peet's coffee (major dickason blend) is my favourite

I do a French press- real easy, quick and in my opinion more flavour than a regular coffee maker

It's definitely worth having in your coffee brewing arsenal

Makes that one perfect cup or a couple strong shots based on the amt of water use

After pouring the hot water I finish it indirectly on the tawa rather than on bare flame
Can't use too finely grounded coffee either

Amazon has a couple under 10usd so it's not costly to try

Those Moka pots are the best for a home brew. Makes a strong cup of espresso or base for a cup of coffee.

I have a Bialetti that wifey bought me from Amazon and it's great.

Btw, that lavazza coffee is best.

agreed....will take a few tries to get the brewing right...and lavazza seems to have a consistent enough ground for this type of brewing...

that and a milk whisk....all you need...

Anyone ever try Cuban style espresso? I drank it a lot during my time in Miami and eventually learned to make it at home. It is sweet and has a strong caffeine kick

You can use a moka pot if you don't have an espresso machine, that's how I would do it

Use Bustelo (my favourite) or Pilon brand espresso
Fill coffee cup with 3-4 spoons of sugar
Proceed to make the espresso- watch it closely and when the first few drops come out, let them drip into the sugar
Mix it until you get a light caramel coloured paste, add a few more drops if needed
When the espresso is done, add the rest of it to the paste while stirring vigorously

Check pics below for the whole process

The moka pots are available locally at some supermarkets.

btw, current stocks... the Cafe Vega is local, tastes kinda like the ones you boil and strain. The SB Reserve is a nice medium roast, not too weak
