^ I don't bother anymore.
If you hear them: Rooney is a better player than Messi (all of a sudden), they have Valencia, Nani & The Mexican. Woopdy doo!
Them forget we play without LB and RB last time (we also had Ibra +ve/-ve?) and still beat Ronaldo, Rooney, Nani and SAF. The best part of MU team is Vidic and Rio (Rooney too). They need a bess game to stand a chance. As said above the 12th man would also play a big part.
Once everything goes well we shall have the first choice starting 11! Thats the WC team + Alves + Abidal + MESSI. Good luck MU!
Real MU fans like my closest padna, though optimistic (very) know that their only real chance lies in SAF. Even he says that this team is one of the worst MU teams he has seen but he going down with SAF if he has to. Only weird thing is that he thinks Berba would be an important player in the fixture. I still don't know if he joking or if he need mental help.

At the end of the day anything can happen but I am glad MU reach the final.
Hope to see them in the future finals. (Don't worry we will handle RM for allyuh again)
Much better than a RM v Che or Int final.
Hard luck dey RM fans. At least allyuh get allyuh King cup.

^The chance Utd has is continuing to play and cover for each other like a team...
If Vida and Evra rediscover form, there's no doubt we're tough as heck to break down in the back...
If Barca stop the supply to Rooney, then they nullify most of our attacks...his movement and spread of the ball is bar few in world football...stop him and you cut Valencia and Nani...though i'm sure Park would start over Nani...
On the other hand, Utd need to stop Barca from playing in the centre...Fletch was our man to do that but was suspended for the final...this year he's unfit so we need to find someone to cover that...
As for this team being better than the 08 team that played in the final..it is..if you rembr the match Utd dominated the opening 10-15 mins, and Ronaldo single-handedly threw away everything created..he was made to be the point striker, a system fergie had never tried before..ronaldo in turn tried to prove he was better than messi, and that failed miserably..the entire team went down from there and wasnt strong enough to come back..
Barca's midfield dominated and the rest is history...

At the end of the day, both are great teams and its stupid of the fanboys to underestimate either side...as everyone from pundit to manager has been saying, the two best clubs in the world have made it to the final..let's hope for a great game!

Btw as for Rooney being better than Messi...with the ball at his feet not a chance, but adapting to different position and controlling play, he is...few in world football would dispute either of those...
That whole talk came up due to Ancelotti recently and Alves last year saying they would rather have Rooney on their side...
Not debating because everyone has their own preference, and the majority obviously goes to Messi, but just showing where that topic came up from...

agreed worksux, as much as im confident in barcelona, i never underestimate a team, especially one as prestigious as Man Utd, and particularly at this level.. despite how much i personally dislike the team.. their fans even more.. losing after thinking you invincible is a very hard fall and does make man feel real sick lol

Man Utd has proven to be a good team and is the second largest fan based team next to barcelona i believe.. so i do expect this to get very bitter as fans and bandwagonists are very, very passionate about their teams.. these threads gonna get real dirty over the next few weeks..

Trying to post in the ucl thread more to try and keep the threads clean lol

It's totally ridiculous, but totally predictable every year. Fans who don't know an inch of history about Munich or can't locate Catalonia on a map. It happens with almost every successful club, if it was Inter getting to the final, men buying Inter shirts left, right and centre.

It's part and parcel of football nowadays, the glory supporters. At the end of the day, real supporters of a club experience every high and every low, from pre-season to the final matchday every single season, irregardless of how important it is. Fanboys don't know the half of it and miss one of the best aspects of being a real fan.

Fletch lost over 10 lbs in weight due to the bad virus he had and it will be a big push for him to start in midfield for the final. He has to prove his fitness in the upcoming games, however, the midfield we have at this point in time works very well. Carrick impresses me game after game. Martin Jol once said he's the best in the Premier League at "nicking" back possession from the other teams. He needs to perform this role well at the final for us to stand a chance. Every single man has to do their job almost perfectly for us to get something from the final, but the thing that impresses me the most is how much everyone works for each other. This wasn't the case with the 2009 final team, it was so frustrating watching Ronaldo complain against a decision when he could use that time pressuring and winning back the ball.

That would have been a beautiful goal. Congrats to Barca on winning the league although the last 10 mins or so was frustrating to watch. Time to concentrate on the CL final now.

Campions third year in a row.

Iniesta and Puyol rested.

We played not even at 80% and cruised.

The key for the ManU clash: Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Alves, Pique

X-Factors-Pedro, Villa, Mascherano, Keita
We have this!

Players from both teams said that they didnt see the incident and put the ball firmly in UEFA's court ..Sergio Ramos went on to say that he doesnt even understand the catalan language much less. I hope Busquets plays and it is just a smoke screen by RM. Heard there is a video for the incident also.

Apparently, the complaint is that he called Marcelo a "mono" (monkey). If he did, then he deserves to have the book thrown at him imo.

^yep it has been moved to the back below the player number...

Discover the new team kit

FC Barcelona’s new kit for the 2011/12 season has been presented on Tuesday. Apart from the addition of the name of the sponsor, Qatar Foundation, the shirt also has the narrowest stripes ever to appear on the shirt.

The wait is over. The new Barça kit for the 2011/12 season will look more modern, will continue to show concern for the environment and maintains the traditional colours. But the shirt has more vertical stripes than ever (as many as eleven) and on the inside there is a graphic with the words ‘Tots units fem força’ (together we are stronger) taken from the club anthem.

As announced previously, on the front of the shirt and in the same yellow as the Catalan flag, appears the name of the sponsor, Qatar Foundation, while the Unicef logo has been moved to the lower back.

The shorts are blue with a yellow line on the side. The socks are blue and include a mesh in the shape of three rings and printed with the letters FCB in the yellow of the Catalan flag on the calf.

Black away strip

One of the other big changes for the new season is the colour of the second strip, which unlike the last six years, will not be a bright, vivid colour. The shirt, shorts and socks will be completely black. On the back there is a small embossed inscription in black and dark grey silicone that represents the same design of the Catalan flag, the ‘Senyera’.

The socks, like the first strip, include a mesh in the shape of three rings and printed with the letters FCB in the yellow of the Catalan flag on the calf.

Casual and training gear

For the first time, Nike and FC Barcelona are also launching a new collection of casual clothes (EXPRESS line), characterised by authentic symbols and details from club history. There are sweatshirts, shirts, rugby tops and jackets carrying the name of ‘Barça’ in gold. There are also shirts with an FC Barcelona heart composed of Barça coloured ribbons on the chest.

Training garments will also be available (TRAIN line) for the players to feel comfortable and perform better thanks to new technologies. Also on offer is Nike Dri-Fit technology to keep dry and cool when it is hot and humid. Mid-Layer is used in the cold and the waterproof Performance Shell shirt will keep the players dry.
