yep and that's what i was afraid of. even though Barca ran all over Madrid in the 2nd half, one good ball through to Ronaldo or Adebayor and das it.

Puyol would have made a difference as a last stopper, but not even he would have been able to match Ronaldo's pace

Good game. It was a real battle, but you could see Madrid wanted this more. Madrid counter attack is always dangerous and sooner or later this must have happened.

Hope the other 2 games are as good as this one with the result being the opposite of course.

Lets face it..after seeing Real play of late it was obvious that they WEREN"T going to get beaten in ALL four games. They won what can be considered the least important of the Trophys up for grabs. If we relying on Carlos Puyol to win the Champs League well that is sad. Guardiola is always late with subs but who is a proven match winner on the bench?? And Guardiola knows that.

Mourinho showed his hand since Saturday and it difficult to believe that he will change his tactics when the two sides meet in the next two games. I'm waiting to see Guardiola's response to it when they meet again. But congrats to Madrid..goes to show what hard work, perseverance and brain work can do. Hope the geniuses at the TTFF take a page outta Real's book.

Mourinho and Real Madrid once again looked like shiet while Barca dominated but parking the bus does work sometimes which is so facked up for fans of Barca and others who enjoy total football. FC Barcelona players and fans should keep our heads up knowing that the best team didn't win the Copa del Rey.

Getting to hate RM/Barca clashes...
They both play beautiful football on any other day (Barca the better of the two of course)

But when they meet its too many stoppages, too many fouls, seems like the both sides are almost ready to catspraddle each other. Too many dives, Too many referee bad calls or no calls at all.

It really isnt a beautiful game to watch when they clash

We can only hope the last too classicos are better but its highly doubtful since more is at stake.

Banwagonist bummy cuz the team they see winning in the last few seasons got beaten from the better team on the day.

True Barca fans could take the loss and await the next game, Real won fair and square. :arrow:

barca's defense to a counter attack is not all that good.. against a team with a strong offense, too many times players had to be scrambling back. Really if Real had the ball possession percentage as Barca, i think they would've def scored more.... Sucks our treble dreams shattered but that was a good game IMHO, (dont know how pioneer could say the game was boring, hadda be from a different dimension or something). Game had me on the edge of my feet..

Large up cr7 on a beauty of a header, i think that penalty he scored last Sat opened up a pandora'a box for him.. you could see his confidence now.. Man of the match for Real goes to Carvalho imo, world class defending...

David Villa starting to get me real vex.. Pedro a good striker and came the closest but they're glory hunting too much... a simple pass some of the times could have secured the goal..

Back in the frying pan next week for the big money games.. hope Puyol and Valdez come back.

and lol at these EPl men(esp man utd) whining down low yesterday to celebrate barca's loss cuz in the event that we don't it to final and they get past schalke, same cr7 who allyuh love gonna wood allyuh

Barca's passing game is the best in the world. but when a defense clamps down on them like Madrid did yesterday, it made it difficult for them to get the finishing touch.

just look at how deep Messi ended up playing yesterday. Madrid's defense was tight and made him fall back.

another line of attack would have been to make crosses into the box, but alas they always refrain from doing this because of their height disadvantage...

fatigue was also a factor i would think...

barca works 3x as hard to get the ball back when they lose possession... that takes a toll on the body for 90 mins, let alone 120...

also Pep didn't make his first sub until the 103rd minute! what was he thinking...

anyway, overall good game and congratulations are in order for RM.
