LoL I only just thought about it a few days ago so I'm just checking reviews on the plate amps (didn't know these existed until a few days ago eh) and subs....

No budget set as well....

Did you mod your bash? Those have a hard subsonic filter, can be undone by changing a resistor I believe.

Morpheus, I built a powered sub about 11 years ago, still running. Used a Hollywood 12, and a partsex[ress plate amp in a 2.6 cu ft ported enclosure. Works nice for music and movies. I thing the port is tuned to 25hz if I remember correck.

I`ve "finished" my sub. I just sprayed it with an el cheapo can of black paint. I`m getting a compressor in a little while, so I`ll paint it properly when I do.

It doesnt sound too far off from the last box it was in, just digs slightly deeper. The last box was tuned to 28hz, but it was an ugly box from my previous vehicle.

Starting work on a box for a 25hz tuned 10 inch for my cousin`s Ht setup. I`m going to attempt a piano black finish on that one.

hey, I`m using the tritrix kit from Parts Express.

http://www.parts-express.com/tritrix-mtm-tl-components-only-speaker-kit-pair--300-700

It is a transmission line cabinet that plays into the mid 40hz region.

Speaker wires is a contentious topic. Normel bhagwansigh's ace speaker wire is fine in my opinion. Or any car audio ones of appropriate gauge.

Good installation?? Check this fella, send him a PM.
