Okay. As of the last poster of Ruffneck 12 Here are the stats:

Premium: 182
Super: 50
Diesel: 64

This works out to:

Premium: 62%
Super: 17%
Diesel: 21%

I wonder if anyone in the "Government" took into consideration the fact that Premium cars are more fuel efficient than Super? This means less stops at the pump and less money spent over a long period.

Not to mention the fact that many people who should use Premium are using Super because its cheaper to buy and fill their tank. They don't really worry about the engine cause thats far in the future.

Its fairly obvious that the figures used by the government (even taking into account another deviation of over 10% which is a LOT in an extrapolation) are erroneous to say the least. No one bothered to check the ACTUAL vehicles. Instead, they've based their figures on sales and purchases.

Someone messed up really badly here and the people who are going to pay for this are you and I because everything is going to go up.

Why?

Sure, the Carib and Stag and HiLo trucks all use diesel, but the Salesmen and women, the workers, the management, the regular staff.... THEIR cars use mostly premium and Diesel. And how do you think they're going to cover the cost increases? By passing it on to the consumers.

Im giving this till tomorow to see if any more data comes in. Thanks a LOT to all who contributed information so far.

..the sale of premium gasoline has been the fastest growing segment in the last six months. It has been growing by about 20% per quarter.

Can u post the link for that article? I'd like to read it. And you should take a look at this one. I wonder if this is where she got her figures?

http://www.latinpetroleum.com/new/newsd ... F&aid=3741

And did anyone bother to tell her that cars that use Premium use less gas than cars running Super? Hence the higher sales of Super against Premium?

nah soldier I read that from the actual, tangible papers..me eh have no link.

Yes i am :D

What i would LIKE to do is show this to someone in the newspapers or something like that. Even the opposition.

We need to stand up against crap like this instead of just accepting simply because the Government says they need to do it.
