There was a similar model Passat where the car was sold with the mileage at over 200,000 and the new owner (buy and sell)then rolled back the mileage to approximately 59,000 hoping to get more money.

Omg I have no idea if this is it this car is from arima area and the guy said he had it 3 years now and it's doing 67000 miles. So we wanted to know what to expect from it .

Maintenance isn't too bad, see if you can get a service history. Also find out if any transmission works were done (Mechatronic unit, flywheel, clutches)

my dad will honestly like to purchase the vehicle but a mechanic scared him concerning the mechatronic unit and told him it will cost 25 thousand to replace if it goes bad so he honestly got really scared with that talk.

You need to find out if it was changed or not, that price is through Massy, you can get it cheaper elsewhere. You should drive it and feel for any jerks or inconsistent shifts from stop to start to on humps and cruising speeds
