Hey guys, I have a 2004 Lancer CS3 4G18 engine. I've been using Shell HX7 10W40 oil and change every 7000Kms. I want to switch to Shell Ultra 5W40 Full synthetic and change every 15000Kms, what do you think?

What's wrong with the HX7? Snd why do you want to change every 15,000kms? 15,000kms kinda extremely long.
Not even them extended change interval oils like Royal Purple & Amsoil have a 15,000km change interval.
No matter the brand/viscosity of oil you want to use, 15,000kms is too long a change interval.

So I've been having this lil issue a while now: every time I putting down the glass or sending up it, all the lights in d car dim and if I'm controlling 2 or more glasses at a time, it dims and slows down.
The charging voltage drops to 12.6 when that happens. What cud be a possible problem there?

Grounding issue or alternator not operating efficiently

Correct. Usually grounds cause those problems. Rarely alternators but still check it out

My lancer brothers I am in need of some advise.
4g15 gdi lancer has recently started acting up when going up inclines. The car drives very well on flat and i can go up lady young and the maracus road without any issues.
The problem im encountering is on steep hills or steady inclines without a flat sloop. The car refuses to go after a while and would jerk and buck (sounds like its backfiring)
I have already changed all the coilpack and plugs. My next step is to replace air flow sensor
There are no cel so scanning is not an option as i have no codes stored.

Has any one encountered issues like this already?
Can Fuel pump (intank) or solenoid on cvt cause this?

I really dont want to be changing parts and guessing, i want to solve this asap
Older heads hardly ever on this forum but im sure theres knowledge still floating around, any assistance would be nice.

ok fellas (thats if anyone still checks this forum)update on the situation posted above. It was the air flow sensor.

Finally came up with a cel and the car went into limp mode. wouldnt even go into reverse. just enough power to drive to get it scanned.

I ask and answer my own question, things get bad inside here yes.
Like everybody gone CY forum :D time to upgrade yes.

Hey folks,

So been awhile now since i wanted to change my deck...so checked online for options... and found this..
Image

And i search many online sources, and only found very vague explainations and vids on a conversion, so decided to take on the project anyways...

So i bought it on ebay, and checked how it would look...
Image

So I had to take out the deck and a/c, then move the a/c to the bottom (where my original CD changer)....
most difficult part of this was to dremel-out a piece of metal from the back-right inside to fit the a/c unit into the gap... then run the stiff cabling back to connect the a/c controls from the below... that took about 2 hours to cut and fit...

Image

....looks good so far...

Next step was to get the correct mounting brackets for a cs3... which i realized is impossible, as no-one converts single-din to double-din in cs3 lancers..lol...
went to some audio stores, and they said to use the strips/adapter strip.... but that was really useless....
so i had to use the original and fit it to the highest part of the deck...
Image

then just fitted and manipulated it in the space...
Image

After that, popped in the new centre plate over and...
Image

I also took 2 small magnets.. stuck one neatly to the right of the centre console and the other to the back of the remote... so it'll look snug...

Image

I was surprised that there wasnt any proper guide for these types of installs.... so hope this kinda maybe helps u all.
