Nah the 4g15 sohc from the cs lancer works just as good as the 4g18. They probably speaking about the 4g15 dohc from the ck lancer. Well bamboo places are mostly japanese, and theh mostly carry the 4g15. The 4g18 is singapore/local. So only the singapore parts place would have the 4g18. Last price i saw was 10k for the 4g18. That was about 2 yrs back.

D 4g15 will work bolt for bolt. You need to use back your intake manifold and exhaust manifold. And you good to go. Me and my dad did it on several lancers before. Thats what i was saying earlier about the availability of the 4g18. As for the qg15, stick to your mitsu engine. Lol. I'm not sure if it will work

Yes qg's work in Lancers. I like Mitsubishi engines over Nissan but when you look at availability and cost I understand why someone would put the Nissan engine.

Are u building pressure? Changed and used new parts? Brakes are very simple to fix and easy parts to overlook.

Well the mechanic has the car since last week Wednesday and he is about to give up. When i mash, the pedal is going right down to the floor. The mechanic said he never experienced anything like this before. Idk what to do. I'm just looking for someone who knows that type of car. Alot of mechanics run from cs2

U r not building pressure. Was any work done on the master cylinder? You may need a brand new cylinder. Bad Boosters don't make the pedal soft, they may it hard. Wasted money there buying one. Wheel cylinders also may be leaking. The material is so soft nowadays just replacing the rubbers may not work. Actual changing of cylinders may need changing as some scratches in the walls cannot be seen.

Changed with what? Was it a used cylinder slapped in? Maybe try rebuilding a used unit. Can't expect new car performance if used parts are being used. Slave cylinders? I always used brand new slaves especially in cars with little fluid changing ever done.

The mechanic now telling me air got into the abs pump. He used his scanner to bleed the lines and he got a little bit of brakes but its very time consuming apparently. Idk

Hello I have 4g15 GDI engine problems not sure where to post. The car is a lancer CS2. What happens is I start the car. The car idles nicely until it heats up then it just sputters and shuts down.likewise If I drive it. When the car gets to proper operation temperature it sputters I loose all gas pedal function and black smoke comes out the exhaust then it shuts down. Did a diagnostic on it. I got several reasons to be the culprit. High pressure, low pressure, fuel rail harness no connected, fuel rail sensor gone bad. I took the car to a Mechanic. He did some trouble shooting. He said the sensor, harness are good. I changed the fuel pressure regulator on the engine itself however same problem. The car won't start now.Can any one help?. Or have suggestions?. Thanks

Guys, would 17" rims with 215/45 tires work without damaging suspension parts on a CS lancer?

Whatever wheels on a car there will be suspension damage from time to time. What accelerates the wear on the suspension would be driving habits and oversized and heavy wheels. Depends on the weight of the 17" you wanna put on. If you really concerned about your suspension then best to stay OEM.

ok fellers lent a padner my car he burst the crankcase and drove the car home when i came and checked it, it had about one quart of oil in the engine when i fixed the crankcase and topped back up the oil the engine started knocking not hearing it when idling but when reving. (The engine is a 4g15 the one with the 2 coilpack on top) What are my best options
1. to rebuild engine
2. change head and block or block alone and could u recommend someone who can fix or where i can get a head and block or block to buy

Easiest bet is to change out head an block. That will run you about 3500 to 5000. Then your mechanic fee
