Anyone ever had a problem where the shifter doesn't go into park sometimes?.. Have to slide down to 1 and back up before seeing P light up on the cluster.. If it doesn't car will have to start in N.. Any adjustments I can pull my hand on to fix it?

there is a little white spacer inside the shift knob that breaks when it does you have issues with shifting

happened to my lancer a couple years ago never found one and too cheap to buy an entire shifter assembly just to get that so I took it out the knob and using the car just like that

however some guys have found a couple

Yea Diamond Motors has that white plastic cap/spacer. I paid about $75 for it about two years ago.

Engine is racing in P and N

Hey guys i have a problem that has developed about two days ago. My engine is idling at high revs any time i shift (auto non cvt 4g15) into park or neutral. I thought it was the iacv, so i cleaned it (it functioned manually)and the pcv valve as well and it's still happening. The only way to bring it back to normal is to turn the a/c on.

I cleaned the throttle body and valve as well. my next move is to remove and inspect the tps.

any thoughts?

friends,

my cs2a does not have auto folding side mirror.
will the side mirror with auto folding for 2002-2007 Mitsubishi Lancer ES & LS will fit on my lancer?
Or what modification I would required?

http://www.amazon.com/2002-2007-Mitsubishi-Lancer-excluding-Folding/dp/B007IVSBVY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427474841&sr=8-1&keywords=lancer+evo+side+mirror

thanks in advance

OK washer good.. The prob is I can change to all but when in P it doesn't light up on cluster so I know its not fully locking into park.. Have to sorta "slam it" into P for it to show that its in park on dash.. If it doesn't car wouldn't start in P

It will fit but the wiring is different. Folding mirror is 5 pin regular non folding is 3 pin.

Replaced it yesterday and its fine now.... When I took the valve out of the throttle body housing and pulsed it, I realised that even though it was getting current it was sticking in the open position.

Looks blue.... but is really isn't that colour. Had to adjust the camera settings to get a clear pic and hence the blue hue.

There is an aftermarket DEPO lamp like that though.

The CS2 headlights with halo is probably cheaper to retro fit than to buy.

Check the vehicle alignment.
Have the wheels balanced.

Fellas outer cv joint on cs2a (gdi)lancer needs replacing. Any one ever did this. Location of sourcing part preferably new would be nice.

I can guarantee the output on a depo lamp is nothing like the morimoto retrofit

The best transmission to use is the manual that was manufactured for the 4g18 lol.
You will need pedals, gear shifter etc etc...but let the mechanic give you the details or let he can purchase the parts of you.

I see some posts on this topic in the thread already, but I have a question.
What other brake setups can work in the from and rear in the CS?
Galant? Evo? Complete spindle? Caliper/rotor swap.
Forget bolt spacing for the rotor, that could drill

Cs has a big brake setup. Same 4 hole. Goes for 1200$ for the front upgrade. Rotors and calipers.

However go. Cs5 5 hole one time. Cannot beat that.

U need spindle. Rotors and calipers for that swap.

Guys, the by pass line running to the throttle body burst and the part where it clamps down to the throttle body rot and broke out. Is it possible to repair this?
Do I need this line to run to the throttle body?

You can just by pass the throttle body but don't condemn the line but just make a loop
