Speaker wiring?

Postby fras » September 11th, 2020, 3:29 pm

Hey guys, noob speaker wiring question here...
Wiring four 8ohm mid-range speakers and four 4ohm tweeters to a 4ch amp?

If I bridge the ch1&2 on the amp to play two 8ohm mids (left side mids), I would have to run separate wires for the tweeters and wire them stereo on ch1&2?

So you want to run it in tri-mode basically?

No you don't have to run separate wires, you can just tap the wires wherever.

But why do you want to do this? Assuming you running the left channel to one side of the amp alone, you not going to get a left AND right on that side of the amp anymore, you just gonna get half the power coming out that unbridged channel.

Just run everything in parallel and you'll be fine. USE A PASSIVE FILTER FOR THE TWEETERS.
